Is that what you gathered from the video?

Did you read this thread at all? Specifically MUR73s posts?

Obviously you didn't. I am pointing out that many say, Obama included , that the economy is all Bush's fault and he inherited it, but these same people neglect to bring up failures on terrorism during the Clinton years that led to 9/11 and also put the blame squarley on Bushs' shoulder for it too. I gave a laundry list of events during Clintons years of terrorist activities so it can't be only Bushs' failures on the economy and Bushs' failures on 9/11 alone.

Sorry, You can't have your Liberal cake and eat it too.

The sad part about this is much of the intel concerning WMDs were greatly exaggerated to sell this war to the public during post 911 fears. There was an agendqa driven one-side approach to the analysis, most of which was a product of Cheney micromanaging what was coming out of the intel agencies. Unless Bob Woodard and Ron Suskinds books were compete fabrications, its hard not to conclude this is how it went down. Knowing what we know now, it should be no surprise whatsoever that WMDs were never found.

All the legit reasons for conflict...kicking out weapon inspectors, defying UN sanctions, violation of no-fly zones, corruption in the oil-for-food program, violation of human rights, etc...generally took a backseat to "He has WMDs and will use them, lets go invade".

why did both clinton's come out and say they believed there were WMD then? wouldn't they have had access to the same information?

Wait. So you're taking your usual stance and considering everyone with a different take a liberal? Im shocked.

The only reason this is even being discussed is because Neoncon opined 9/11 was caused by Clinton's sucktitude. Crying about people blaming Bush and then turning around to blame Clinton is a shining example of a lot of rationale on this site.

Just want to reiterate that I never once have laid blame anywhere for the current economic crisis - so you don't have to point the partisan finger at me.

I quoted and was referring to Muschamp post, actually.

Not sure at all how someone can blame Clinton for 9/11. Did he sleep with one of Bin Laden's 50 wives to piss him off? However, you can and should partially blame Bush for the situation we're in now. Obama's no angel, but Bush set up the pins for Obama to knock them over.

Simpleton approach is awesome. Do you know anything about Clinton's presidency vis a vis the military, intelligence services or bin Laden.

There were several catalysts for the financial collapse but the most important the unravelling and collapse of the mortgage market and subsequent decline the value of single family homes. Much of that can be layed at the feet of Fannie and Freddie. In 2003 Bush proposed the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis. Who was against it? The recipients of the largest total donations for the 10 years ended 2008 from Freddie and Fannie were Dodd, Kerry and Obama. Obama was only in office for four years and was number three. Barney "Blow Me" Frank is on record as wanting to continue to "roll the dice" (his words) by insuring even more substandard mortgages.

Yeah, Bush should have vetoed spending bills right and left, either funded Medicare prescription benefit or not pushed it but he's a piker compared to what Fannie and Freddie and their enablers contributed to where we are now.
