this game lost its glamour because bama sucked for the last 15 years and florida was the ones who we needed to beat for a shot at sec championship. to me this is the one i want every year i hate bama. this rivarly goes way back and i live on alabama border so to be able to talk smack to these bama fans would make my year.

anyone who has watched vol football for any length of time knows this is a rivalry game regardless of the status of the teams. Anyone who even asks that question should be banned from watching the game. What a ridiculous question!!!!

I was born in '84, but since i started watching UT football in the early 90's, this has always been the biggest rival game in college football to me. This game has one of those "southern appeal" type feel to it. Nothing like UT-Bama here in Southern Middle Tennessee in the fall. Gives me chills.

When I started watching Vol football bama was the only team I hated . This week is still my favorite game and it is the only one that I feel like I have to see every year . I mean I try to make sure I can watch them all but this one week is still The third saturday in october and I feel like I have done college football an injustice if I don't go to this game.uf has no real tradition other than the last 20 years but this week is college football in my book . They paint pictures of what these young men do in this game , not to many games can say that . GO VOLS !!!

A lot of people think our biggest rivalry game is with Florida. Think again. I hate Florida with a passion, but I hate Alabama even more. It goes without saying, that Vol fans hate Bammers.

i live in alabama and i think tide fans want a victory over tenn even more than aubarn. this is the most storied rivalry in college football and mostly is a VERY close game...

As I mentioned last week I wanted to get by SC then have fun with this week. If we do not throw the ball better, like we did in the first 5 games we are in trouble. Not that we will lose but it could be closer than we want. Your defense it good and if you have a good ball control offense that day it could get interesting. But if we can control the ball with our running game I think our depth (Finally) will wear your defense down.

I look for a good hard hitting game. I want this to be a classic but of course with us winning. Hope no injuries and I get to smoke a BIG CIGAR as I leave Tuscaloosa. Lets strap them on. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Your puke shade of neon orange has got to be the ugliest color on the planet. Atleast Auburn's shade of orange is presentable and more manly looking. Forget sports or this rivalry......I wouldn't be caught dead in that gay, yellow pink shade of orange you chumps wear. What a great color crimson is. Crimson is used all the time. A beautiful color indeed. I always find it funny to find Auburn flags on a crimson car. Who would use that ugly shade of orange other than Vol fans ? Nobody would unless they were trying to scare their neighbors. Your color is so wimpy that you've had to add black to the away uniforms twice in history just so the players will only feel half way a wuss. Halloween colored away jerseys hahahaha Your color is just one thing out of a long list of things I hate about Tennessee.

On to the game.....You have one player, Eric Berry.....that's it. Is he going to take on Bama by himself single handed ? hahahahaha Stephens will finally get to play in this game. He will run for his life in the 4th quarter after Crompton is bruised, beaten and knocked out of the game. I smell a shut out coming....

Keep thinking this will be a shut out, but don't be afraid to come back to take your beatings if UT wins. I guess it's too much to ask of the Bammer fans to be as respectful as Birmingham and Rev...GBO!

Why don't you look at this whole thread. Respectful UT fans toward Alabama are few and far between. I'm sure my posts will be deleted because you people want to have a whole thread toward running down Alabama and nothing else on here.

You have a decent defensive front I'll give you that but they will wear down in the 2nd half after your offense continually goes three and out. Yes I see a shut out as realistic. UT scores 10 points tops. Anything more would be off a cheap turnover. Bama won't score alot of points either but they wont have to.

The reason the Florida game has become so big is because in the 90's it was TN and FL in the east. bammer stunk up the west.

There is a special place in the blackest part of my heart for the stinky bammers. Hate is not a strong enough word.

Why should we be respectful towards one of the few fanbases in America that makes UT fans look urbane and sophisticated? Your whole state is an outhouse, your program cheats, and you routinely claim twice as many championships as you've actually won. You can't even figure out a proper mascot, for God's sake. What is there to respect?
