Steve Spurrier is retiring

If that's all you got from Karl Childers, you miss the whole point of the movie. I do not know OOC.

And being taken seriously is pretty far down my priority list at this point in time.

Sorry, OOC = out of curiosity, thought you were calling CSS a child, was just curious what you thought of the comparison to john mcenroe. Yeah sling blade aint my thang, but from my point a view, since you implicitly asked what i thought the point of the movie was, is that it was a mockery of religious exploitation and their well intentioned, "less than brilliant" good hearted followers. I havent seen it in awhile and mostly opined on post-viewing recollection but there you go

If they don't they are fools but for our sake I don't want that guy in the East. He is a solid coach and has turned that dumpster fire in Memphis around.
Fuentes will get a big dollar gig soon, when the hiring/firings start my guess would be that his phone will be blowing up.

He better find a defensive Co to go with him because Memphis defense is really bad and the offense has had to carry the day . Won't get by with that in the SEC.!

I truly hated the guy, but like Bobby Knight (may god piss on his soul), dude was just the perfect villain coach that you just loved to hate. And also just like Knight (seriously screw him), you cannot deny the accomplishments that they enjoyed in their career.

Jr. would have plenty of money to pay a good d-coordinator and more talent on the field than Memphis.

I've alway liked and respected Spurrier, even if he liked to poke the Vols. The man is one of the all-time great college coaches--and entertaining, besides. I will miss him. He mostly kicked our butts when he was at florida--actually it started when he was at Duke--but in the late 1990s the fla.-UT rivalry was intense--those were the days, people. And he did a great job at south carolina--who would have thought he'd be their all-time winningest coach when he took that job?

Bob Knight isn't dead

Agreed, but where is at now, you can get away with it. That's all I am saying. And my guess he will be on the top 10 lists of every major cfb job this year. Starting w/ USCeast and USCwest.
