Spag's was the guy who led the defense that stopped the prolific New England Patriots' offense in the Super Bowl last year. He gained huge publicity so much that the Washington Redskins made him their #1 candidate to replace Joe Gibbs and waited until the Playoffs were over and the end of the Super Bowl to offer him the HC position. He declined the offer to stay with the Giants.
Spagnuolo was an assistant under under Jim Johnson and runs a blitz heavy 4-3 man-base defense. Pretty similar to Will Muschamp in that aspect, as well as personality-wise when on the side line.
Kinda doubt he'd take the Vols position when he passed on the Redskins. I think Muschamp would be more likely.
