What about the Mooch?? I remember his offenses were always pretty good and he comes from a good pedigree of coaches. He got a raw deal in Detroit, but who hasn't got one there. Wouldn't be who I would choose, but it would be interesting none the less. :)

If we missed on our main targets, I wouldn't be upset about bringing in mooch.

It's a legitimate question and thread. If you don't want to participate in the discussion then don't post or ignore it. :hi:

You think that he and Hatcher are legitimate candidates being considered by Hammy based on?

He's got the experience and he's a pretty personable guy from what I know of him. Also, it shouldn't be hard to lure him away from Northern Michigan.

Mods : Can you change unemployed to Northern Michigan. Sorry.

Because the guy is a winner and he has a proven track record. Did you see in the Hatcher thread where Leach and Muschamp were with him at Valdosta State??

If you were Hammy, would you have the search firm place calls to either of these guys or would you go through what is generally considered the "A" and "B" list first (Gruden, Kiffin, Davis, Leach, … etc.)?

Or do you [Erik] think these guys should be on one of these list?

Sure, I do. I think that all possibilities should be explored and that Hamilton doesn't need to be narrow minded.

The Mooch was already at Northern Michigan when this thread started, right?

I know we've got them on the run, but I'd hate to think we've got AD's out there hiring someone just because they get their own thread on VN.:) UT is the sly fox in a lot of hen houses.

He's a good add to the existing list, Eric. As good as many other names being passed around... for sure!

Being able to tear him away from Northern Michigan wouldn't be hard. He has NFL ties to coaches that would probably want to come with him. It would be a good staff that's for sure.

If he was serious about staying for a while, I wouldn't mind Mooch. He has a lot of experience in the college game, and those 49er teams he won all those games with weren't particularly talented teams. They started reeking the day he left.

He's not the coach at Northern Michigan, but he did play college ball there.

If mooch comes here then NFL gameday will be alot less informative.
But good God i'd pass out for 2 weeks if he came here.

I mentioned this as a joke the other day...

Unless Steve Young and TO find some more eligibility...I'm going with no Mooch.

Gruden was never on the A list. Z list maybe....There was never a chance of him coming. Like I said in an earlier post...lets hire Larry Brown for baskeball and Tony Larussa for baseball while we're at it.

Kiffen and Turner Gill are the two that need to be offered!
