Im not sure if any of you are familiar with Steve Duemig, a blowhard from here in Tampa ,that has a national show on Fox radio during college football season. Was also involved in the whole Landry-gate fiasco. Anyways i was just listening to a caller who was calling out all the local Florida fans who worshipped Monte for all these years now think he dosent have what it takes and what not. Steve basically said Monte dosent have one player that could run his scheme at UT. Said Tennessee has "nothing" as far as talent and it wouldnt surpize him if Urban gets close to 100 against us next year..

if you're bored give it a listen before 7

Duemig is nothing and if he looks down he will find more nothing...or Finebaum...Who is this buttbag anyway?

Obviously he hasn't seen our new "lockdown" secondary. I know CLK has more sense than Fulmer and will release Gerald Williams to seek and destroy!!

True ,but one important thing to point out is that its impressive that the #1 most listened to sports talk show in a major market in the heart of Florida spent most of a 4 hour show talking about Tennessee football and Kiffin.Thats more then the last 6 years i have been down here combined. It was sad that during the week of the UT/UF game the past few years , from the buzz leading up you couldn't tell if Florida was playing UT or Furman. Its just nice for now to see some life pushed back in this rivalry and some UT buzz outside this forum and the Tennessee border.

Surprised Deumig pried himself off of Raheem Morris's jock long enough to talk about Tennessee.

He's one of the few around here who can't see the Glazers are using the Bucs to pay for Manchester United. $44 million under the salary cap? All Gruden's fault apparently.

Gotcha. Glad our fans everywhere have a reason to be talking about UT. (It's 24 here, so no matter how cool it might be in Tampa, you're still closer to the ocean than I am and I have to dislike you just a little bit for that reason. :birgits_giggle: )

GO VOLS!!!!!!!

I remember the days when I lived in Tampa of Chris Thomas, a real sportscaster and a renaissance man as far as sports go...that guy is a major league POS and working on a second rate sports radio network at that...

Hey dumbass... that is the station that Chris Thomas was on. Chris Thomas started this radio station with Steve Duemig. They shared similar points of view. I agree Chris Thomas was better than Duemig though.

My exact thought up here in Birmingham, too. I turned on both sports radio stations last night and it is ALL UT and Kiffin. Of course bashing us, but they haven't talked about us in ages.

I know we don't have alot of NFL-style talent for Monte's system, but doesn't he center his defense around what the DB's can cover? Don't we have some damn good DB's? I know we have 3 really good ones. We just picked up 3-5 more, right?

100 my a**, last year we held Tebow in check better than any other team, our offense killed us. I think our defense will be even better than last year not to mention we now have one of the best game planning D coordinators of all time.
