How can you not want to attend this game this Saturday and watch these boys play. 1-3 or 0-4 – No Record would stop me from wanting to watch those guys play. It’s going to be awesome.

Basically the majority of the changes I’ve wanted this year is going to come at this game.

I’ve wanted Stephens to play QB, I wanted to see more G-Gun and Gerald Jones passing the Ball, More Hardesty and Creer Carries…. It’s ALL COMING this weekend at Neyland,

Don’t miss it!!!!

It's not a given just yet, that Stephens will even start or play at all.

Oh it’s coming, there are a few things I believe and I believe that even though Foster will start, we’re going to see Hardesty and Creer A LOT, they will get the majority of the Carries. Clawson said himself you will see more Gerald Jones in the G Gun Formation and with that, there is simply no way you can run the G-Gun over and over and over without throwing out of it. So I believe we see quite a few passes out of the G-gun. This is the perfect game to pass out of the G-gun, it will show Georgia that it’s not only a run play, they WILL have to respect it.

As for Crompton and Stephens – The fact they have said numerous times that Crompton practices well but doesn’t bring it to the game means there was really no need for a Competition between the two. Crompton has shown what he’s capable of in 4 games. Nick gets his shot!

Volquest has a Video Interview they did with Nick and while he's talking it is showing some clips of his practice, there is a spot where he throws a bullet into the net and I was like DAMN, He’s very accurate.

According to what info I have gathered from VQ's mods, NS has a rocket arm... but accuracy is the question mark.

If the ball is in the field of play, it'd be a more accurate pass than we've seen in several weeks.

Well, that is what we all think, but the fact Fulmer decided to let them practice another week to see who wins the job eliminates that theory.
I agree, Crompton has had 4 games and he was terrible and should be benched. However, the fact Fulmer is giving it another week and going to let them compete in practice for the starting job just tells me Fulmer is just buying more time for Crompton. I think he will start Crompton because he thinks he will do okay against a weak NIU defense.

If you watch the Video that Volquest has up on the Front page you will see what I'm talking about, that dang pass he throws is more accurate than I've seen in a while and he's moving when he throws it.

It also hits the net with a THUMP showing the power behind the throw. Very impressive.

So where can I go to see who's starting Saturday? Does anyone have any official information regarding this week's qb competition?

It was just asked on Volquest about what time can we expect to hear anything on which QB is starting and Brent Hubbs said 5:30pm

Am I missing something? What's going to be awesome, a 3/4-filled stadium watching UT remain below .500 while beating up on a crappy team from the MAC? What changes are coming? Who says GJ is throwing the ball? Who says Hardesty and Creer are getting more carries?

Forgive me, but a fluff piece on Volquest showing a QB throw a pass into a net is not going to get me too fired up. If NS was getting it done in practice, he would have already been on the field.

i really want to see the young guys get on the field. specifically moore, paige, creer,r. johnson, sullins, walker, martin, DONALD, l tthompson, reviez, warren, g williams, anderson, vereen. i think we are really stacked with the young guys in a couple of spots. where i am concerned is dt and the lb spots. lets get a couple of those guys some snaps together as a unit in the second half and see what we have to look forward to. i want to see crompton come out and look good one time. if not pull him and get stephens in there and make some time for coleman also later in the game.

Crompton has had multiple chances to come out and look good “one” time. The Trigger WILL Be pulled today, Crompton will not start, Nick Stephens will start, this “Open Competition” stuff is or was just a way to bench Crompton while at the same time show the Fans that the HC Job isn’t easy.

FlVol53 has said on Volquest that his source said, “Nick will start and if he is playing well he will play with the exception of G-Gun snaps. Want to get him as many reps as possible with UGA looming.”

He also said that this is the same source that confirmed GW being eligible 2 hours before it was announced.

With that said, I kind of believe him.

i can believe it too, but still want to see crompton get it done one time. maybe this is good for him in the long run. i hope that if it is stevens, he can take control of the starters spot and be the guy for the next 2 and a half years. i just want one guy to get the job done and a capable backup in waiting

I just heard that Mayor Dean is offering free Vols tickets to all the homeless in Nashville this weekend.

He should send them all to hang out on gameday here in Nashville this weekend with signs deriding Corso. That'd make for some interesting TV I guess.
