Stephen A. Smith: "Brady Should Sign With The Titans"

A lot to unpack in this post. Tannehill is NOT getting any five year/100M deal. Let's start there. His best-cast scenario is to resign with the Titans, and they are in the cat bird seat. If Brady got a two-year $40 million deal, it would only be if the second year was optional. Wherever Brady ends up, it will be structured to make his '21 and beyond optional.

Also consider this. The economics for massive QB signings is fading. Jimmy G threw eight passes in the NFC championship game. Kirk Cousins is a massive failure. Aaron Rodgers isn't the best Aaron on the Packers. And the Titans make it to the championship game with a retread. Would you rather have a stud DL, stud OL, a RB or a $50 million QB? Kansas City will be one of (not the last but close to it) teams to give a self-harming contract to a QB.

Try 4/$118m, lol.
