Why did this guy get moved to defense? Check out his highlight film on rivals. He would be a great receiver. Just explosive with the ball in his hands.

He got moved because he is not a pure positional player like most we have been bringing to Knoxville over the past 5-7 years. We bring in these hybrids with hopes that they work out in one position or another.

He can play slot and return Kicks or something. He's an athlete and I hope Kiffin gets him on the field if he deserves it.

More then likely he was below the depth chart of a Fulmer favorite. Phil was dedicated to his favorites such as Crompton and Foster even if they were not the most talented or had turnover issues. Thank God we have a new coaching staff that will be unbiased and field the best talent.

Don't forget Willingham. Vinson clearly outplayed him when he was placed on the field.

It is hard to determine how much talent we actually have when there has been a Fulmer cloud over the program for so long. I find it hard to believe that some of the players on the field last year were the best we had to offer. It will be interesting to see how many starters from last year will be starting next year. The only one we all know for sure will be EB.

EB and Dan Williams. Hopefully Waggner and Raines will get some shots at real PT.

Knew I saw him run a guy down. I don't know how you keep a player with his speed off the field. He could at least block some punts or something. And he couldn't have been any worse than Willingham at corner.

His high school competition was so god awful that the highlights are irrelevant. In 2005, that region was probably the worst in the state, with the exception of Rome.

He's still a big time speedster. He looks very fast true 4.3 type speed.

Isnt it a lil late to turn him around? like i dont think he can convert to a SEC WR in one year.

The LFO team that was so illegally dominant lost at home in the first round of the playoffs against a 5-5 or 6-4 team. Which proves my point on how weak the region was for 4-A.

Raines didn't really standout against future OVC conference talent like someone D1 bound should.

I wish him the best but i think he was Fulmer's attempt at creating a "sleeper".

They may give him a shot at returning. I know that's one of the main reasons that Kiffin is high on Thigpen. He thinks he could be a James/Holliday/Arenas type.

Thigpens videos are sick. He makes cuts and moves that are crazy. IMO he will be a good returner.
