It appears as though the initial plan was for Fulmer to remain AD, name Steele as a one year interim, and gauge how well Steele performed.. and then conduct a more thorough search if Steele wasn't working out. I have been pretty positive about this hire. But if this is true then it will change things for me significantly. Steele is a very good and well respected DC who can recruit and develop. He has great ties to the South. This could hurt big time.
The problem with this offense is you put major pressure on the defense because they are on the field to much. If it’s not Steele he better get someone with SEC defensive experience or it’s going to be a long year.
