Steele about to raid UT's coffers for two weeks of 'work'

So if he is offered a spot on this team as a coach or advisor and he doesn't accept. To me that says that he is quitting. He is walking away so he should not be paid by UT. Auburn is still on the hook for the full or at least the biggest part of his contract with them.

I sure hope Heupel isn't getting rid of Steele and bringing the stiff he had at UCF. His whole success is going to depend on getting competent defensive leadership and recruiting. From what I've read, UCF's defense wasn't anything to write home about.

His contract likely dictates the position he'll hold. The school can't just unilaterally decide he'll perform a non-coaching role.

Steele should be teaching seminars on how to get rich quick!

I wonder if UT put in the pay offset for other jobs (For ex: $35,000 butch got for working at bama) like Auburn failed to do?

His sports commentary is on par with everyone else. His social/political comments are spot on.
Depends on how little it takes to move electrons between the ears. He does have the skill of motivating the least common denominator, so he apparently remembers 4th grade math.

I understand if he stays on staff as a defensive assistant until March they owe him nothing, if he leaves they owe him nothing

We ought to have a moratorium on links to Outkick. I can't think of a worse use of resources than amplifying that man's opinions.

Always reach for the "shut up those I dont like" button, doncha?

If there's anything factually incorrect about the story, please enlighten us.

Typical response. Ignore facts and go straight for insults. Question for you to consider. If he moves the least common denominator why is there no one like him on espn?

Most underrated comment ever on here. The only person who has worse takes is Houston Kress at Fan Run Radio

I was understanding that he was hired without a specific job title.

I haven't looked at it, but I have to assume that it dictated some kind of on-field coaching role as determined by the head coach. He wasn't offered half a million bucks to be an analyst that would typically make 30-40k.
