lane kiffin's job, mike hamilton's job, and anyone else involved you can think of......

hinges on tyler bray (or whoever else tennessee signs at qb this year)'

if they sign a bust or even someone like jimmy clausen who isn't very good until his junior year......kiffin will have to clean out his office.

i am not a tennessee football historian, but i doubt the future of the tennessee program will ever lean so heavily on one player.

They'll sign two. We have more than just a QB problem also.

This is a very uneducated about post/comment, Kiffin's contract has a huge buyout the first 3-4 years. It is something like 9 million. For that reason alone, Tennessee will give him time to rebuild the program unlike UF did with Zook.

we need lineman and recievers with HANDS the quarterback need goes without saying. We also still need a kicker with a leg which we have 1 comitted. If Lincoln makes that makeable fg and extrapoint then hey the games tied. not saying its his fault but he shares the blame and needs to be replaced

other things need improvement, don't get me wrong.

but, these 50/50 ballgames at home (ex. UCLA) tennessee would be winning at home.

big difference between 5-7, 6-6 and 8-4, 9-3.

Stating the obvious. Yes, so will I. Write this down. This 09' team will go 4 and 8. If the 10' team goes 5-7 (or worse) Kiffin is in the hot seat. If the 2011 team goes bad, the Kiffin crew is done...period. Ticket sales, concessions, alumni woes, hotels and businesses all demand it....rightfully so. A shot is just that. You have a three year shot. Turn it around or get your arse kicked out. Tennessee isn't just having a bad year, nor are we just the laughing-stock of the SEC. We are the laughing-stock of college football from the coach to the team. My God people...look at this quarterback. C'mon now...let's get real. Admit what everyone else knows...he should not be playing division one football...period. To some people that's a slam worth of execution, but call a spade a spade. The kid ain't got it...sad to say. He will make a great something....go on in life to be successful...but he will NEVER, EVER be successful as a quarterback in the SEC. That's stating the obvious.

But it doesn't. In case you haven't noticed, our WR's suck too. I can't for the life of me figure out why Teague hasn't played at all the past couple of weeks.

Not really the same. Zook didn't really need to rebuild. He just needed to maintain, and he failed miserably. UF made the right move.
