I’m sure if he takes another job he will lose all that $$

He doesn't lose any money if he takes another job. The money just comes from a different source. He is getting 50 million until 2032, regardless who is paying for most of it. If I were him, I would accept the VT job at a lower salary (say 4 million) so that Penn State still has to pay me a lot of money and I can tell VT to use the money saved on NIL and upgrading the facilities.

I suppose you could say the personal value of the money is changed, since he is basically getting the money for free right now vs having to work for it. But either way, he isn't losing money.

I think the NCAA has pretty much done away with the number limits on staff these days. Twenty percent of the population of Alabama works in the Alabama athletic department.
