Hasn't developed the secondary (regressed?), OL play is better but below expectations for all this talent, zero TE threat, no consistent pass rush.

Lots to clean up in this back half.

State of the program, whew... that’s a real tough one, ( well not really) there is still a slight chance for Pruitt, but he hasn’t been able get the players that will turn Tennessee into Georgia/Florida,Alabama and regrettably several other SEC schools
Sooooooo should We
Get use to 5th or 6th place in the SEC East?
You know the answer

Nothing is changing, fellas. #2 is our starter for the rest of the year.

Laugh about it, shout about it, but when you've got to choose, any way you look at it you lose.

(With apologies to Simon and Garfunkel, of course)

Compared to the previous regime in 2017 & didn’t win an SEC game and also our worst record in school history he’s building! 5-3 in SEC year 2.
6-7 SEC wins this year is in play. A legit QB for next season to build on. We are heading in the right direction. Only disappointment this season is UK game which was sandwiched in between GA Bama games.

Midway through the season and we're out of contention for the SEC East. Nothing new here, move along.

We don't need experts to tell us this. Most of us have known JG wasn't it since the beginning.

I call sabotage.

Ol Bamer Gump came up to Knoxville and stuck a restrictor plate on our football program and refuses to take it off.

Wait until the Arkansas game and see if this team quits again like they did against Kentucky

3-7 or 4-6 is a best case for this Hapless team
Don’t expect next year to be any different

Pruitt’s going to be at UT for a minute, but I don’t foresee him ever getting any better than .500 coach...... and it may be worse than .500

It’s time to give Pruitt a little credit and assume he has also identified this problem.

So, if you believe that (and i do), how bad do you think he believes the other QB’s have to be?

And if that’s the case, how is Brumbaugh out of a job while Chaney, Weinke, etc., are cashing checks?

Technically Brumbaugh is still cashing checks too.

Rush Propst gives his analysis of the Tennessee program under Pruitt 30 games into his tenure at UT. He says quarterback play is key to take it to the next level as a program.

State of the Tennessee program 30 games into Jeremy Pruitt's tenure

Problem is that Pruitt and co have had 3 damned years to fix that position AND get depth. Seemingly every other team in the country has a starter and talent behind said starter. They get an injury and a true freaking freshman steps in and looks like Unitas. We've seen the crap show behind JG. And here we are....year 3 under Pruitt....year 10 under JG...staring at 3-7....again.
