State is not going to be an easy game​

NO game for the Vols is going to be EASY. NONE. ZERO. NADA. You're tripping on some really good Coca Cola if you think we have an easy game remaining. If we only played offense, I would change my tune however, our defense is struggling and they are simply not going to improve by leaps and bounds. Just ain't gonna happen. Lots of nail biters in our future but, doesn't mean that the Vols will not be victorious but to be safe, stock up on Pepto Bismal.

The first team Defense is not struggling. people who are just looking at a box score are screaming the sky is falling.

game 1 - Easily in hand in the first half. Second half played Vanilla so we didn't put more on tape than we had to
Game 2 - Emptied the bench so young guys were going up against 2 FBS P4 level QBs
Game 3 - Rivalry game where you had 2 guys just slinging it giving it their all. If you're going to tell me our defense sucks because of that game you need to tell me UGAs does to and I won't believe you.
Game 4 - See Game 2 but with one FBS P4 level QB with a G5 FBS team around him instead of an FCS level team.

Kentucky and Vanderbilt. I don't care what people say. Vandy is mid and just waiting to be exposed.

Vandy at home should be a win, but not necessarily an easy one. We could certainly blow them out but it also could be a close game.

I think they have some holes in their roster, but the QB can sling it and they play with pace like us. Our Defense will really be challenged.

I do think we have a very good opportunity against their defense. If we can execute at a similar level as we did against UGA, then we should outpace them, but I cannot shake the feeling it is going to be a shootout if our D gives up chunk throws.

honestly the our defense is playing, I gotta wonder if the coaching staff is thinking about playing keep away at all by slowing tempo and running the football.

Back in the day, General Neyland would publicly praise Chattanooga’s running game or wonder if his Vols could score against Wofford’s D. Before beating them by 40.

There's gonna be a thread just like this before the Kentucky game, too. And before the Vandy game. It happens every year. It happened before we beat NC State. a year or three ago. It happened before Syracuse, this year. The next opponent is always suddenly a concern, the week or two before the game. Well,, I'll tell you what:

Absolutely agree. Then, after we beat down whatever team it that particular week, the same crowd will refer to that team as trash and say we really can't tell anything based on drubbing them.

I don't think they have a DB that will be able to stop Brazzell downfield consistently.

A couple more solid games and I will be convinced he won't be stopped consistently by anyone. He is nasty good at everything.

They have given up 6 sacks for 11th in SEC. UT has given up 2, both of which were QB falling on a botched snap.

Those two guys even without the CBs could have tipped the UGA game to the good guys.
