By this, I mean that Tennessee needs to play a complete game on the road. If this Tennessee team does that, they will come away with a convincing victory and be better prepared for their remaining conference games. Bonus points to whoever picks up the references in my previous post.Wade through them! Show no mercy! Send their players to the sidelines! Score at every opportunity! Thwart their every possession! Leave them psychologically scarred! Send the message to future opponents, we’re coming for you!
Similar in what degree? Talent? I don't think so. Production? Absolutely not.Two similar offenses that can score a lot. Neither defense is great. Gonna be a shoot-out. Home field advantage is huge. The Vols coming to town ranked #15 is a big deal to these schools we haven't played in a while. It's going to be really LOUD. Their fans won't sit around waiting for something to cheer about. Likely decided by the final play of the game.
All of what you say is true. But we have one road game every year where you can just throw the stats and averages out the window. We start out slowly and get into a sixty minute battle. Dont know why it happens but it does. Have to always be prepared for it. We weren’t last year against Arkansas.Similar in what degree? Talent? I don't think so. Production? Absolutely not.
UT scores about 14 ppg more and has clearly played a much stronger schedule. UT is second by .3 ypg in the SEC and 110 ypg better than MSU at 9th... again see the competition.
Statistically, MSU is better on D but again they have not played an O of the caliber of UGA or Syracuse. Of course, statistically, UAB has a better offense than anyone MSU has played.
Heupel loves to start fast. It enables him to dictate the terms of the game and takes away options from the opponent in both scheme and playcalling. I suspect he will test their run D early. ASU had huge success against their run D. That sets up one on one match ups for UT's WRs...
If UT gets a couple of early stops, it gets ugly pretty quick. It is only close enough for the last snap to matter if UT helps them.

Brenen Thompson has Jalin Thompson type speed. Ran 100 meters in 10.22 in high school. They’ll make some plays. Think I heard an announcer say one of their WRs was the fastest in CFB in his opinion
