How did Shoop get so bad when he was so good at his other stops? Is it the players or the philosophy of the head coach? I just don't get it.

I thought Shoop loved to blitz and be disruptive. For some reason, we are not seeing that.

To be fair GA tech and GA are extremely run heavy and good at it. The only team that will put up as many rush yards as them is bama

This is true, but look at the other 3 teams. FCS I ST, one of the worst teams in FBS UMass and FL who ranks 97th in the nation in rushing.

I didn't realize how much they rushed on us. Yeah that looks pretty bad

We have not been "good" in any statistical category this season unfortunately. Well unless you count 3 and outs.... I think we are top 5 in the country at that stat.

It's also possible that Butch could lead this team to the first 4-8 season in program history.

While I certainly don't want that for our players or fans...at least that would be impossible to excuse and nobody would be divided about whether he should go or stay.

I definitely have never felt so unsure of beating UK, Vandy, SC, Mizzou in the same season. Scared of Southern Miss too.

it is the rope-a-dope strategy...wear their offense out to help our defense....

Dubious.

What a strange record to need to consider?

D needs to dial it up a notch or 10.

As bad as Ga is, SC is worse. They better pack a lunch. The only way the 14 could be any longer for SC would be the time change. A whole extra hour to actually make it longer.

BTW when is the time change?

Go Vols!

Actually Tennessee is ranked 2nd in the nation in passing D.

Holding QB's to an average of 52%
keeping QB's to QBR of.....average of 50
giving up 5 TD's vs 3 ints

Teams are one dimensional on Tennessee and that is why it is worse than it even looks......because Butch has no answer even though he knows what teams are going to do.

On a different note......the next coach must keep our DB's coach he is one of the best in the nation.
