Stat Breakdown TN-IU

The 300 yards a game that IU throws for worries me...our secondary hasnt been good against teams that throw 30 x a game

And I'm not down on the Big Ten. I think they are the 2nd best conference this year and have the best overall team.

If you're Kirby Smart, how in the hell do you let Justin Fields transfer? People are all over the Jalen Hurts story-which is great in it's own right, but my goodness. Justin Fields was arguably the best player in the country as a first year starter. And he's going to torch that Clemson defense imo.

Memphis vs Penn State is the most intriguing Bowl game to me. Penn State is not a slow team, but Memphis is so versatile and have recruited very good speed at all levels. They have the better more reliable offense and I think that is what will give them the victory.

Penn st is overrated but will crush Tigger high

Comparative stats are dubious when teams play vs. different competition under different circumstances. An SEC defense with a 100 ranking may be better than a Pac 10 team with a 50 ranking. Comparative stats are interesting, but not entirely "comparative".
Remember going to the Cotton Bowl in 1970. Comparative scores said Vols would win big, but Texas cleaned our clock. GBO

Watch what Memphis does to Penn State.

Look at IU other games. Ball State by 10 points. Maryland by 7...
They were fortunate enough to play the weak side of the other division and still lost to a 6-6 Michigan State team.

And they've played one defense that is better than ours.

They are better than some of the teams who beat us though, and I hope we don't take them for granted. And I hope jg plays a good game, if he doesn't they will beat us. And I am like one of the post says here. I have yet to see jg lead us to 30 points against a good team. I think maybe we score maybe 24 points; and that is actually a high for jg; and don't know if this will be enough for us to win or not. If jg plays the whole game I look more like we score 17 points offensively. They will stack the line and dare us to throw the ball.

If we don’t drop the hammer on this middling Big Ten team, our coaches and players will have some soul searching to do. This shouldn’t be a team that is disappointed in being in the Gator Bowl and could be understandably complacent. Instead, this should be a hungry Vols team ready to rock a team’s world that we should dominate and anything else should be unacceptable.
