I was holding out hope that Butch needed a mobile QB to make his offense shine....it started to look some better under Dobbs but it may have gotten exposed last night and the blueprint to defend Tn is printed for UF

The offense is fine. It's the coach that refuses to punish teams for loading the box that is the problem. You have a great scatback in kamara and you don't even try to get him in space and pass to him.

Kamara goes from most yards in an opener in UT history to 4 touches in one of the biggest games in Jones' career.

Major ****ing issues with this.

The line can't block them so why wouldn't a team load the box. The defense is in the backfield before the qb hands the ball off

Against teams with a mediocre front seven we look like world beaters offensively. But the second we face a good pash rush we look horrid.

If there is a worse oline in the country, I would like to see it. Thomas and Crowder are absolutely horrendous. I am not sure what Thomas does after snapping the ball.

You are the only person on here that thinks 5 can block 8. I keep seeing this on different threads and it's not an attack on you. When you rewatch the game ou brought the house, with both our rb's in motion with no one to help block. Our offensive line played good. They were executing the called plays. We just need 8 linemen.

Why did Butch call reads every play when they started blitzing every play?

The Dobbs/Kamara and 2 backs reads didn't fool them once when they sent blitzes, and it removes blockers, we also would put out all our WRs and have 5 linemen. I agree

The fact that we didn't pass at all is odd too, Dobbs did fine against Alabama passing last year, we have the most developed WRs in SEC E

Why not trust in Marquez North and crew in a couple singleback/shotgun sets? Dobbs can still run, we'd have TEs to block the engages, and possibly score instead of running up the middle vs 8 like we did?

I just think 6 linemen and hurd then 3 WRs would work as an adjustment to them running the same defense because that defense exposed us every time

Also did Debord tell Dobbs he is not allowed to run....there was several times he bought time and scrambled all around the backfield and would not run like he did last year

I hated the plays with Hurd going east/west off tackle that got us no gain 4-5 times. Hurd needs to be given the ball running North/South with some momentum.

Our offensive coaches were bad last night--very bad. We don't try to get the ball to Kamara in space--we did finally throw it do him in OT--but we DID try to run him from the 1 yard line when we should have run Hurd! Not a very bright bunch.

Game 2 is complete and the offense has done a 180. Still confused as to how this occurred. However, this isn't because OU is some juggernaut, far from it actually. The upcoming conference schedule is very difficult with the 1st four games and if UT coaches remain status quo, we may end up seeing drop in fan support and drop in stock among recruits.

One can only use the same line of BS for so long. Eventually it will catch up to you.

This sad thing is our boys on both sides fought hard all night and earned a win. Conservative play calling allowed the stacked box and oline to get bulldozed. Despite what people are saying about the oline- they actually got a decent push and protection until the offense play calling went all deboring conservative. When they realized there was no long ball threat- they overwhelmed the line of scrimmage.
conservative play calling when we got up killed us. The offensive production stopped suddenly then our defense wore out
Hate it for our boys
