Starting to look like a SEC team again

Beat UF, beat UGA twice, had a lead on Bama late in the 4th quarter in Tuscaloosa. The team fell apart at the end of his time here and he has been a jerk ever since, but stop with this revisionist history that he was Dooley 2.0
why keep rehashing this stuff

Josh Dobbs was the reason UT beat Georgia and Florida without him, Jones is probably fired after his 3rd season. It’s a real shame that Butch couldn’t find another QB like Dobbs, if so he’s probably still here.

Taylor will see double teams so you are correct, another pass rusher must emerge.

He will see some if he has some early success but it’s also on our staff to get him in 1on 1 situations in key moments.

They lost four games. Got lucky to beat Kentucky the week before us. They played a lot of crappy teams and beat a good Ole Miss team. They were nothing special. We had the talent in place to wipe them off the field.
The hell we did. We had so much talent, so much speed in the defensive backfield that we let a guy take a little 15 yard comeback route down the sideline untouched for the game winning 63 yard touchdown while our guys looked like the keystone cops falling all over themselves.

He left the pieces of an NFL offense. A decent coach could have built a program from that. The other guys had us at C-USA talent across the board.
Those pieces were there before Kiffin. His only class was decimated.

Doesn’t Pruitt already have as many regular season wins over ranked teams as Butch had?

Butch had SC in 2013....umm, maybe FL was ranked in 2016, I can’t remember tho.

If you count bowls, I think NW was ranked when we beat them I the bowl game.

I have tried to block out as much as I could about Butch lolol.

That one hurt the most but so did Franks' Hail Mary in 2017.

Yep. Everyone on the team except for your favorite player sucks and is fully worthy of being thrown under the bus and written off.

Pretty pathetic from a guy who used to be pretty solid.

Hardly.

You've joined the cult and lost your mind.

Lost all their games after Greer was suspended. They were a much better team with him playing. If UT wins 10 regular season games this year I hope revisionist fans don’t look back in 4 years and say we were nothing special.

So, I’m talking about players and a play that happened in 2015, before Guarantano was even on the roster, and you respond with a Guarantano reference....bizarre, but hardly surprising. Definitely living rent free in your head though mate.

And it’s hardly a cult to join the majority of fans, coaches, writers and analysts in opposing the 6-7 guys like you on here who badly misrepresent Jarrett and his play last year.

It’s a real shame Dobbs didn’t have a real coach. With one, he gets to go to the playoff.

That freshman playing in his first SEC game definitely gave them an insurmountable advantage.

10 wins isn’t special anymore. Freaking Kentucky just did that and Vandy damn close more than once recently. This isn’t 1985.

Bray, Hunter, Da’Rick, and all those OL. That was Kiffin.
Except Kiffin was gone before those guys signed. They could’ve gone somewhere else, including USC. They committed while Kiffin was here but you could conceivably give credit to Dooley, ok more likely someone in his staff, as he took them from high school player to NFL player. Plus Dooley had to make sure those players didn’t flip at the last minute.

He was gone by the time they signed and he had absolutely nothing to do with their development. Judging by his 2009 class they might not even had finished their careers at UT so I’d say giving Kiffin all the credit for those guys is a huge stretch.

1-4 vs Florida
0-5 vs Alabama
2-3 vs Georgia
2-3 vs Vandy
14-24 vs SEC teams
0-10 vs SEC West teams

What’s that you were saying again?

I would rest my case, your honor! The jury will not have to deliberate long before they find the defendant GUILTY as charged!!

They aren’t here without Kiffin. Dooley went after guys like Quenshan Whatshisname and Vincent Dallas. There’s a reason the only class Dooley signed that had any star power was the one Kiffin built up for him.

He was a lazy recruiter that couldn’t even be bothered to call the five star safety living a short drive down I-75.

I do agree they likely wouldn’t have committed if Dooley were coaching.
