Starting QB for next year?

I hope Dobbs steps up and takes the reigns, but having Jennings and Dormady will definitely be interesting. I admit I don't see Peterman getting the nod.

They are red shirting and started Dobbs ahead of Peterman last year for a reason. My guess: either Dobbs or Dormady.

Dobbs doesn't play last year if Peterman and Worley don't both get hurt. Dobbs had a real shot over a couple of games to take the job. When the 2 hurt QBs got better he lost his spot to both of them.

I hope one of the guys step up big time. I don't care which. But if we are talking about who is gonna start we have to look at where we are not where we hope we are.

It will be Peterman IMO. Dobbs is behind him for a reason. Dobbs could get better before next year and win the spot but he's not being red shirted to be saved for the future.

Come on slice it totally makes since to redshirt Dobbs when you got a senior in Worley that's going to play and Peterman can back him up. Now if Worley got hurt I believe Dobbs would be the starter or if Dobbs was a redshirt freshman this year he would be the back up. I think Butch is smart enough to redshirt Just like he tried to do last year. Butch isn't going to do Dobbs like Dooley did Worley you don't do that to quarterbacks.

I don't know if Dobbs can do the job, but I know Peterman cant, that I do know.:eek:hmy:

I thought Cromp wouldn't ever be a good QB.
He still gets paid to play.
I don't "know" that Peterman can't do the job anymore than I "know" Dobbs can.

I just think it will be Peterman.

Because he's not really third string, he was put there just to redshirt.

I can't believe people think Peterman is ahead of dobbs on the real depth chart. Butch is building for the future. The only way Dobbs loses his redshirt this year is if Worley goes out with a serious injury

If Dobbs was better than Peterman then Peterman would be red shirted. Simple

I believe without a doubt it will be Dobbs. The kid showed enough upside as a true freshman to prove that to me. I think he is an ideal fit for this offense. I think that was the plan all along. Butch is very methodical in the "process" that he believes in. Those who want to say "but he had a bad camp".....well so did Simms for Alabama, and you see how that's turned out. Those who want to hold hope that a hot shot true freshman will get the nod...well you better hope not. Starting a true freshman at QB in this conference is NOT what you want...I don't care what his skill set is. I think Dobbs will have a break out year. I really do. The kid's got it.

Everyone who covered spring practice and reported on the fall practices agreed that peterman was ahead of Dobbs.
But hey , all the people who have never seen a practice know who is better at this point.

This is true. Peterman outperformed Dobbs in camp according to people who watched.

At what point was Dobbs ahead of Peterman?

Peterman started the Fla. game and went out for the season. Then Dobbs got the nod.

Unless something happens Peterman will be our starter next season.

Peterman will become a better man over the off season when he has all the reps and all the focus. He will do great next year.
