There is still a lot of time to tell. Did NS practice on sat.? I'm curious as to how he will do this year. He seems to be this staff's type of guy as far as attitude goes, IMO.

Also when do the commitments get to start practicing/enroll in school?

I'm afraid Kiffin will be disappointed by Crompton. From what I've of the USC passing game (when Kiffin was there), they dont use a lot of different plays, but put emphasis on reading the defense and using progressions. Something that's been a problem for Crompton.

With all the qb's having to learn a new system, I don't see Crompton emerging as the guy with the best grasp of the offense. :twocents:

I am bored and so I am throwing this out there. Anyone think maybe he is talking up crompton so that way he can tell recruits they have ample room to start '10. Then once we get a 5* recruit he hands it over to coleman. Crazy I know but so is Kiffin.

I don't know if it's a given that he's going to hand it to Coleman once Crompton graduates. There will likely be another competition with the freshmen in the thick of it.

A commitment means nothing til they sign the LOI BTW. He's definitely not going to tell a recruit one thing and then when they commit do another. Not his style.

crompton will be your starter this fall IMO. stephens won't impress enough and coleman's mechanics still look iffy. i don't see either of them winning the job by the season opener. could be wrong, just my 2 cents.

I agree. And I think we will be fine as long as we can run the ball well.

I agree with most of you.

Crompton wins the job, we run and run some more.

And we hope and pray every time he drops back to pass.

Kiffin was talking about Coleman being the starting QB eariler this season:wavey:

that's great. IMHO, from what it sounds like in these past few practices Crompton seems to be pulling ahead. If BJ makes it as our starting QB I'm fine with that too. As long as they win.
