I think the reason why we are in this slump is because we added Maymon to the rotation. At the beginning of the season I don't think we were practicing as if Maymon was in the rotation. Honestly I think we need to go to an 8 man rotation and stick with it. Our chemistry is always the damn problem!

1.Goins / Golden
2.Hopson
3.Tatum
4.Harris / Maymon
5.Williams / Fields

I completely disagree. Maymon is better than who he replaced. I understand the chemistry thing, but Maymon did not cause that to occur. You can't blame everyone's shooting woes on Maymon.

Simple solution...keep the same rotation just reverse it. Bring the starters off the bench. Griff would call it reverse psychology...

This is just wrong on so many fronts. Maymon and Harris are the only two that appear to have any idea what to do against a zone. Maymon is very agressive both rebounding and getting to the goal. He is going to give us a lift.

It just so happens that his introduction coicided with packed in zones, poor shooting and distribution, shoddy ball handling and passing. A-backward assist to turnovers, etc, etc.

Sorry...I meant to say that we have too many players involved and our rotation needs to be fixed. I don't think we were practicing as if Maymon was going to be playing at the BEGINNING of the year. I wasn't saying that he was the reason directly. We just added one more player. That's what I meant.

Too many players in the rotation. reduce numbers to 8-9 players. Fewer players better chemistry. CBP needs to regain his game face. get that fire back that was at Pitt and Madison square garden. the heck with the ncaa letter that is due. you are our coach and this is our team.

9 Man Rotations:

Goins/ Golden
Hopson/ Sadly McBee (soon as possible to be Bone)
Tatum/ Maymon
Harris/ Maymon
Williams/ Fields

Goins/Golden
Tatum/Bone (McBee for now)
Harris/Hopson
Maymon/Harris
Williams/Fields

Hopson would get about 20-23 mins a game because Harris would need a rest at the 3 and give Maymon a break at the 4.

Starting bigs should play 25 mins and others 30-33 mins. If game is faster paced, bench plays slightly more. If game is slower paced (like the last 3), starters can play even more mins. Offense should run through Harris.

I actually like the idea of Tobias playing 3, because he makes his own shot and Hopson might get a little intensity coming off the bench

I actually like the idea of Tobias at 3 and Maymon at 4. Hopson off the bench to get a jumpstart and some intensity

Doogie, CPB always goes to an 8-9 man rotation once the SEC begins. He plays everyone early because he wants to see what each one brings in case of injuries or suspensons! Mayman is not the problem! Give it a break CPB will have them playing well when it counts!

cold shooting and lack of half court defense ; I do believe cutting down on the rotation and playing the best five will get us turned around

Yeah, the non-conference games don't really count. I suspect the NCAA tournament committee will simply give no consideration to the non-conference record. We should forget about losing to possibly the worst team in the nation as it won't count anyway.

I whole heartedly believe that our rotation needs to fixed before the SEC starts and Pearl isn't roaming the sidelines for the first half of it. I understand what Pearl is doing. It is the same thing that he does every year. He is trying to find the right rotation that will give us the best chance at winning.
