Starting O-Line Predictions

LT Richmond
LG Robertson
C Thomas (if healthy)
RG Jones
RT Hall (if healthy)

Boulware, Trey Smith, Kendrick are next men up unless Smith redshirts
If Kendrick is healthy he may start at LT too but I think they want to use him as a OT backup.

Not a lot of dropoff from the starters to the backups which is a good thing.

No chance Trey Smith redshirts. He has a good chance at even being a starter.

Trey Smith will start. It is hard right now for wells because Kendrick Hall Boulware and Thomas not practicing. Ryan Johnson has filled in nicely at RG first team while Jashon is playing Center. Robertson is doing great at Center and should light a fire under Thomas.

Smith - LT
Kendrick - LG
Robertson - C
Jones - RG
Hall - RT

I think Richmond rotates in at a tackle position.

I fully expect this to be a much improved unit with all the depth, talent and experience we have returning. With guys like Hall, Jones, Richmond, Smith and company out there i really like where our line currently sits. With that being said, how do you think they line em up to start the season? Does Smith lay claim to one of the tackle spots by the opener? Does Richmond continue his development and take the other? Lets see those bold predictions!
Richmond & Smith at tackle, Hall & Jones at gaurd, and Robertson at center. TVA 2.0 👊 GBO

Kendrick, Smith, Boulware, Tatum, Locklear, and others will play snaps as well. The OL hasn't been this deep since way back in Fulmer's time.

I hope guys like Locklear don't see the field. The offensive line is the last position you want to rotate 9 guys at.

IMO you start the best 5 which is richmond smith robertson jones and thomas. kendrick bolware hall are all quality backups that cold start on most teams. think tatum and others to have potential bt arent as ready as those 5

That's not even our top five. You're missing Chance Hall whom is probably our best Olineman.

what makes chance hall our best o lineman i dont see it

Chance Hall is an adequate pass blocker, a bull in the run game, and he's explosive. When he was in, the right side got pushed. If I remembered correctly, he shut down Johnathan Allen.

And did not do so good against Tim Williams.. the bana game was not not his best

Constantly injured. I think he was coming back when they faced Bama. And "best" didn't apply to any Vol PLAYER against Bama.

If this o-line group is as good as most of these post seem to think it is, qb's a running backs should have a field day.
