Offense:

QB- Dobbs
RB- Hurd
WR- Malone
WR- Smith- if healthy
WR- Jennings- he is outplaying PW
LT- Kendrick
LG- Robertson
C- Thomas- As bad as Tomas was at RT, Weismann was disastrous at center.
LG- Jones
LT- Hall- I would rather have Hall back than Kirkland, Sutton, or JRM. End of the day, the D is still a top 25 D without them... Where the Oline is making a top 10 offense look like a top 50 offense. Fix this and everything changes.

Strategy: 3 things have to change in this game. 1- Chance Hall must play. We need the talent and the change in attitude to get better performance. 2- New playbook. We get hit in the backfield all the time, using a blocking scheme that leaves our linemen whiffing. Use the I formation, roll Dobbs out, use 2 tight ends blocking, simplify the game for the oline so they can hit somebody, just stop throwing in the flats and... 3. Let Dobbs be a baller. Plan on running him 20 times.

Defense

DE- Vareen
DT- Obrien
DT- Mckenzie- played really well against Ohio
DE- Barnett
LB- Jumper
LB- Maybin
NB- Gaulden
DB- Martin- I like Martin on Callaway. He is a long, athletic baller with a competitiveness to him.
DB- Mosley
S- Kelly JR
S- Abernathy

D has played well this year. They need to limit mistakes, and I would like to see more sacks... But The teams we have played are getting rid of the ball real fast. These guys will click at some point in the season. I do think it's critical that JRM plays... LB is he only place I am worried.

Go vols! 3-0, let's bring back that over performing, mistake free team we all know is there!

Doesn't look bad on paper?? We will miss sutton in a horrible way and my heart goes out to the young man. But it's next man up, if Florida has a qb like I saw last night backing up del rio then we will be fine. O Line has to step up and put a hat on somebody. That's the only thing that scares me.

I agree. Looks good on paper and we GOT TO put a hat on someone. We have a big athletic oline playing against air

No way you put Thomas back at center. That is unless you want fl to win. Thomas should be benched if Hall is back.

del rio wasn't exactly lighting it up either... I think they are weak on Offense

I brien is ready to play against Florida? So his injury was not so bad? That's a big plus for us.

I cant believe this hasn't been said

There is no way Shy doesent start. Hes one of our most disruptive pass rushers.

The DL will be key for us. We need Barnett, Vereen, KMac, Shy, and Kongbo to wreak havoc.

Is Kirkland for sure out?

Hard to say. I don't know if he started out walking on 1 or 2 crutches, but he's on one crutch now and putting a little weight on his right leg. He walked right out with the crowd yesterday and seemed to be walking at a steady but careful pace

I don't claim to be a football play calling guru by any means but I do understand that the o-line is probably our biggest deficiency so far this season. I know some have mentioned lining up under center and putting a full back in to block for Hurd and I can see that possibly working in certain defensive coverages, but how about lining kamara up in the wildcat? Is that a crazy option? I don't mean every play but think back to playing ky a few years ago, they slashed us with the wildcat. I don't wanna get kamara killed out there and maybe the Florida D is not the right unit to run this on but surely it would work some?? I know Dobbs is a running QB by trait but by running kamara outta the wildcat would lessen the hits on Dobbs. Any thoughts? Thanks and I'll hang up and listen
