I don't even think you see Walls at DE. According to Coach O he wil be a DT. The kid has put on some serious weight since he was originally recruited.

Weak- McCoy
Mike- Donald
Strong- Frazier

Has AJ really moved back to D?

Got a feeling there will be some big hits from these LBs this spring. Boy I hate it for our RBs. Starting spots open means players getting layed out. Man I'm getting pumped!!!

I'm a big fan of AJ. After we signed him I saw him play in the Shrine Bowl and he was great at MLB.

Looking at the situation at LB he may be our starter on the strongside. I think we may be strong at LB come this fall. The commentators will be saying Lathers lays the Leather to another one. Just a thought guys.

Verne Lundquist just took note of that "clever" tackling quip.

CD told me to tell you (non-believers) "that his time is coming"! Although, some of your assumptions might be correct. He did not have the best coaching in HS football and strived off of pure natural athletic ability mostly. He is a very intelligent and coachable kid. IMO CMK D-sheme is not going to be that difficult to learn. Players like CD is why CMK is going to love his job, and you better believe he will have his BEST talent out there. CLT already is pleased at the oppurtunity to work with CD. You will be amazed of what some real coaching will do. Obviously alot of players on D last year couldnt learn the playbook?? How many times did we have to get burnt on 3rd down plays, or play soft coverage when we shouldnt. It all boils down to coaching. CD is working hard and ready to make an impact come this fall. Hate all you want, nobodys dreaming here. Come this sept just sit back and enjoy the show because 19 is coming.:superman:

If i'm not mistaken Chris played for one of the best coaches in west tn, Mike Mansfield. And I don't know who "kinfolk" is but he may be able to expound on this statement. He may also offer us insight on whether or not this setback may have been caused by CD's "injury" or his being "hurt" his senior year.:dance2:

I hope your guys are right about Donald.

With the emphasis being put more on speed at linebacker, he looks like a good fit.

Maybe a couple of years on the bench has made him hungry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember he was the #1 LB prospect in the country when he signed with TN according to the experts.

If Donald doesn't make a big move this year, then it's very likely that he's simply not very good. Good players show their talent early. True, some players are slow to develop and become good with physical and mental maturity, it's true--but if you haven't shown it by year three: "Houston, we have a problem." I hope this proves a breakout year for him.

RE Lathers: I'm bettin' he's not 230 pounds.

RE Williams: THIS IS THE GUY who could be a key for the Vols this year, IMO. I hope he can be LB*and play it well.
