Starters That Kiffin Recruited

LSU - forget the year.

It was 2006 and he didn't look anything like an NFL QB in that game as he completed < 50% of this passes and looked lost the whole game. He did play hard, but you couldn't have been thinking he was an NFL player that day.

LSU - forget the year.

He completed less than 50% of his passes that day and Robert Meachem made a couple of very good adjustments on deep balls. It just wasn't anything to write home about. I admire Crompton's perseverance, but he spent 3 1/2 years not being able to hit the broad side of a barn and didn't really snap out of it until LK dumbed down the reads and got him out of the pocket where he only had to worry about half the field.

That would have been Cutcliffe, I believe. The Cutcliffe responsible for Fulmer's success, from what I understand.

I'm sure crusse10 was among the "he sucks and is a fumbler" crowd who entertained us with their footballing insight and lore at the time.

How the real world outside the back door gives them the biyotch slap. It's great to see.

It's been proven that you have no idea about the real world outside the back door. That is what is so funny about your delusional state. It is easy to see why you are such a big Fulmer fan. He's just as delusional with his periodic statements like "I really believe we would have turned it around", two years after his firing.

Cutcliff was gone Foster's senior season.

And why won't you answer the question as to why the GREAT (LOL) Phillip Fulmer didn't make one single short list of any of the BCS openings.

People praising Kiffin for "getting Crompton drafted" was a barrel of laughs.

I can't believe they waited until the week before the new season to bust out this thread. It has been the best entertainment of the off-season. Better than Big Bang S4.

Meanwhile, when Crompdaddy was just as bad as he was despite a full year with Kiffin and Chaney, I was saying he would make an NFL roster.

You can't teach the NFL toolkit (measurables).

Tony Dungy himself asked Phil if he wanted the Minnesota job.

He said "Honored, but no thanks." Phil isn't looking for another coaching job.

I thought you knew Phil?

I'm glad you believe that. I was very supportive of him. It's too bad I wasn't on VN for more of his career.

I do know him and he has stated publicly on numerous occasions he wanted to get back into coaching.I see you are telling another outright lie. Your usual mantra when you are severely overmatched. He was never offered the Minnesota job. That was the only short list he was on. USC wasn't interested. Notre Dame wasn't interested. Kansas wasn't interested. Louisville wasn't interested. South Florida wasn't interested.

Fulmer ready: Former Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said that after taking a year off, he is interested in finding another head coaching job.

"I'm certainly interested in coaching again," Fulmer, 59, told the Orlando Sentinel at the American Football Coaches Association convention in Orlando.

When asked whether he had inquired about the USF vacancy, Fulmer said, "Not directly. I have not."

He did not rule out seeking the job. "The school seems to have a lot going for it. … My wife is from St. Pete. We have lots of friends in the area. I've recruited in Florida for a long time."
