START WORLEY AGAINST USCe..

I'll expound for you, since you appear to be one of the people I'm talking about.

In this thread, you've got people saying Bray has earned nothing but clipboard-holding duty, a quote along the lines of "I can see how people might think Bray is shaving points", and implying Worley would be a better quarterback because of his high school accolades.

Again, I will bring up what I've said before- Worley looked much worse than Bray last season when Worley played.

Let's break this down a bit, according to the general idea I'm seeing on the board:

1. Bray is more talented than Worley, he's just a headcase
and
2. The coaches suck, are idiots, etc.

If the coaches are so terrible, what makes anyone think they can take a guy with less talent and make him better than the starter with more talent? Worley would, at best, give a quick burst of enthusiasm to the offense for a series or two. Once things settled down, he'd get reamed much worse than Bray. There is a reason he isn't the starter, despite what you or anyone else thinks about the coaches.
Using your logic why why would we not be playing Zach Rogers over Cp . They have the same sorry coaching right:loco:? Thinking like this is what Kept Randall Cobb away from Tennessee He wanted a shot and couldn't get it at UT.

I'll take a chance, however slim, of an 8-4 regular season over essentially taking the risk of playing a completely inexperienced quarterback 100 times out of 100, especially when the current starter has demonstrated that he can handle the puny opponents most of the time.
Great Idea we will have a great record against puny Teams. In case you don't know we are in the SEC where there aren't enough puny teams to get us into anything but the music city bowl. Status Qua sucks even an infant knows this, they Sh*t there diaper and cry until something gets done about it. I would hate to be your kid, although I would develop a strong leg and back muscles dragging a sh*t filled diaper around all season.:loco:

I'm OK with putting Worley in and seeing what he can do. The season is toast and it's looking like Dooley is gone anyway. Time to build for the future, and since it's probably best to save Petterman's RedShirt I say put Worley in. Bray is not the future.

This year is not toast we can still go 8-4 and get a bowl win and have 9 wins and that is a good year not were we want to be but still something to build on.

We will get blown out this Staurday.....

Everyone watched the Bama game and has freaked out about our offense and Bray forgetting the fact that we moved the ball on Bama better than anyone else and should have had 2 more scores if Hunter does not drop a beautifully thrown pass, Dooley does not chicken out and take timeouts into the locker room and Dooley does not override Chaney to throw a deep pass on a crucial 3rd and 1 play near the rezdzone when 2 straight wildcat plays with AJ would have been a guaranteed first down.

Not to mention we scored more points than anyone esle has on UGA, UF and Miss State.

Offense and Bray are NOT the problems...NO ONE has looked good against Bama...

Defense is the worst in UT's history and the offense is ALWAYS playing in a hole.

With that being said, our offense will go from one of if not the best in the SEC to middle of the pack at best if Worely takes over.

It's the defense and Dooley's horrendous in game decisions that are killing us.....Dooley needs to keep his ego in check and stay away from making ANY gameday decisions while in play and let Chaney handle the offense. I will say this, everyone hates Kiffin, but I would kill to have him making coaching decisions on the sidelines over Dooley.

Dooley tried to call a timeout and change the CP TD play against Miss State but they didn't get the message on time on the sidelines....i'm telling you, as long as that man is making decisions during the game, we will always lose the close ones....it all began with LSU and 13 men on the field. Dooley is just horrendous at making in game decisions.

Worley hasnt taken a snap this yr with first team offense..if he were to start this weekend it might be ugly by halftime, and who knows if Bray plays or not..if the game is out of reach then let bray sit this weekend and think about what he really wants for this team...and play against Troy...but if he were to play and have a horrendous game then sit him the rest of the year and let Worley get used to the offense and get ready for next season if he returns...

Worley might be alright and would like to see him get chance to play with old teammate Patterson. Maybe Bray learns a bit watching from sidelines and becomes the killer we want him to be

The defense has been terrible, and the offense is always playing catch up--but it's also true that the offense gagged in big spots against georgia and miss. state--and was horrible against bama in a game in which the defense played fairly well early on.

You people are crazy asking to put worley in...bray is one of the best qbs in the country he just needs to play better.

How can we do any worse than we are now!!! Geez....

Dooley spent more time baking cookies with Baaabraaaa than attending practice with Viiiiinnnce

You can't single out Bray. Either Bray misses or the receiver drops them at the worst time. It has been rumored that we have 2 of the best receivers in the country but both (especially Hunter) disappear for chunks of every game. I like CP a lot but we shouldn't have to work so hard to get him the ball. Receivers get open running routes not taking hand offs.

Even if he was a future superstar, which is obviously not the case, how could Worely make things better when this defense is so incredibly bad? And yes, the D did get some early lucky stops there against Bama only because Saban was choosing to run up the middle towards our one strength, Mcullers instead of shredding our non existent secondary which he later on decided to do, but name one QB that looked good against that Bama D...they are just nasty.

The OP is mean't to show that people calling for Worely are missing the bigger picture, it wouldn't matter if we had Cam Newton at QB if our defense can't stop anyone....not getting one stop the entire first half against Miss State is inexcusable.....but yea, a QB change will fix our problems.

And I don't want Kiffin back as HC because of all the baggage he brings, i just mean't he is a much more competent game manager than Dooley is and a better play caller than Chaney.

And who in their right mind wouldn't be pro-Gruden compared to Dooley....a superbowl winner compared to a guy who was a loser in the WAC and who reportedly doesn't even really want to be here...gee, tough decision there.
