Start Justin Worley.

I say don't play Worley. No use in burning a RS especially when we all know that Tennessee can't compete against the upper SEC schools. Let Simms play it out and beat Middle TN and then Bray can come back for either Vandy or UK

Gary Danielson thinks he wont be back this season

If we play him I guarantee that the same ones wanting it will b the same ones bashing Dooley for wasting the RS. Don't play him, it could b a potential confidence killer for a young qb playing against the D's we have coming up

So,,in yer opinion, a RS freshman is going to do better than a senior that has faced this team before? Please grab yer peas if you can find them and understand that this is not peewee football. You also need to understand that this is not ONLY about winning games this season - it is about building a future. You sound like one of the jacktards that want to put Worley in now - but will ***** when his eligibilty is up. Do us all a favor and let CDD do what he feels is right for the team. Do us all a favor and get behind CDD and his decisions. Tell me this - just why is it so important to you that we burn a quality redshirt - and will more than likely get beat by 'bama????? What would that prove??

Sure they will lose to Bama thats expected even with Bray - UT may never reach the level of them anyway at least as long as Saban is there. S Carolina is beatable and Worley is from that state and like I said what if he is another Crompton why wait to find out and be WO a QB ?

Big effing deal dipsquid. Many of us on Volnation think the same thing. At this point - next year is what we are looking at. Not saying we don't support whom we have on the field and hope like hell we win out. But a majority of us true VOL fans understand not only the gravity of this year - but also the levity of the future. Either join us or STFU.

I wouldnt start him vs Bama but he sure would get in the game - if anything put Nance in why waste him ?

South Carolina is beatable.

Simms can't throw, period. With him it's a guaranteed loss. He can't even check down, he just heaves knuckleballs that won't get there, or get sacked. Playing Simms is the equivalent of giving up, he's that bad, I can't believe people can't see this.

If Worley can't throw better than Simms, I don't give a damn about his redshirt.

Aren't you the one who started the thread about bad recruiting? Explain to me how a coach from LA Tech can come in and have a month to finish with a top ten recruiting class and then finish with a top 15 the next year. Ron Zook had loaded talent at Florida (remember Steve Spurrier?) Dooley had NOTHING and I think he is doing a fine job

he is a good coach not bashing him at all , but he needs to take more risks when, yeah were expected to lose the game anyway - this isnt the NFL where Christian Ponder sits and learns - while Cam Newton starts and even Peyton Manning started his rookie year. Just fed up with people saying UT is OK with moral victories

Screw the RS - this is about winning games this season - surely theres more 4 and 5 star QBs coming up in the next couple seasons to recruit. Bray leaves after next season anyway - put him Dooley quit being a conservative :realmad:

Against the best D in the nation? As I stated earlier in another thread, brillant OP.

I HATE the term moral victory. Its complete BS. We all want real victory! But give Dooley a few years and he will have us back. And I agree about the taking more chances. I was screaming it yesterday in section Q

well,,golly gee then - please point out the threads or post's where I bashed our coach or players. Go ahead. Look hard. The only threads you will find is from the whiny "I want to win nowwww" crowd. You fit right in. You bash our QB and say he's not worthy of wearing the uniform. Tell me, give me one good reason why CDD should burn Worleys RS. I now it's hard,,,but try to think.

Yup,,glean the forum and find how many people say they are happy with moral victories. Very few. What you will find is a group of VOL fans that are realists. A vast majority of us have high expectations - but also realize where we stand in the grand scheme of things. For the record, Ponder played tonight and legally earned his paycheck. Did Newton legally earn his pay check last year?
