Season Premier Tuesday nights (tonight) at 9:00 PM.

I have seen a lot of Stargate references on the boards. Also a lot of addmitted Science fiction and SYFY channel fans. Was just wonders if any of you were a Stargate Universe fan?

This show has taken on a more dramatic, darker element to SG1. I really enjoyed the first season after getting used to the inital shock of the different format and actors\characters.

Anyone else a fan of the show? Maybe a newbie considering checking it out?

I actually like it, when I didn't like the other SG series.

Don't have tv right now, though.

I really hate this split season garbage. And now that SyFy is carrying WWE on Friday nights, I'm going to have to catch "Universe" and "Caprica" on Hulu. Oh well, "Supernatural" and "Haven" are on Friday nights, so maybe it'll work out.

This show being very different from the orginal entries in the StarGate series is building a very credible story line. The character are by far and away the most flawed of any of those series.

Too bad that it's been canceled after two seasons, but, it had to be an extremely expensive show to produce.

I really hate the split season format. I don't see how that helps either the show or the network.

SyFy really needs to be cursed for bringing in WWE on Fridays. Wrestling has about as much to do with Science Fiction as poker has to do with sports.

oh well, maybe they're working on a Stargate movie franchise that ties in the three shows. How awesome would it be to have Daniel Jackson snooping around the "Destiny" or Rodney McKay butting heads with Rush?

I'd rather stargate universe stay mostly separate, as the far more credible of the shows.

Too bad it's being canceled. They seemed to be on to something good with the plot, imo.

Seems the reason it was cancelled was MGM\Spyglass entertainment just emerged from bankruptcy. Where in Court documents it stakes the profitability of the show and the series. The current thinking is a movie series with all the character merging in to the movie series. All the fan sites are urging the company down this path.


Stay tuned, I guess.

The Series Finale is tonight. Will they get home or will they leave it open for the rumored coming movies?

The show ended with all of them in frozen animation, but one. Which I guess makes sense if you beleive the movie rumors. They project 3 years for the first movie and they are on ice for 3 years. Coincidence?
