I'm so glad that this is the resume Disney chose to run with for the future of Star Wars.

it's pretty comedic. this movie is set to come out in 2026 and it's already getting backlash. they hired some anti-man activist to direct this multi-million dollar budget movie to make another DEI movie. at this point i think disney is wanting to fail.

yeah, she hates men, she obviously was rejected to many times growing up. it's going to be a heck of a train wreck.

I don't see what the problem is. Having a feminist director is way better than having a talented, experienced director that will ensure the film is great.

I say it's about time! Who's with me?!?!

It's amazing that a company like Disney would give the keys to one of their top franchises to a director that has never directed a feature film and only has documentaries to their IMDB list.

She also said it's time for women to be the focus. Princess Laia, Jyn Eraso (Rogue One) Rey and Ahsoka.

Everything Star Wars the last 10 years has been focused on a woman.

When thinking about who really should be directing Star Wars movies, which take themselves seriously .... I think these 3 would be the obvious choices :

Christopher Nolan
Denis Villenueve
Ridley Scott

.... and if I had to pick one, I would go with Villenueve.

Admittedly, I haven't seen Ashoka. Rogue One was the last good Star Wars movie that I have seen. That includes the new trilogy.

Disney apparently is doubling down on stupid.

None of them would want to do a SW.

I really liked Ashoka but that was because I knew the characters from Rebels.

I saw some posts from folks on social media that didn't like Ashoka because of the Rebels tie in saying it was a kids show and didn't watch it.

I'm pretty sure most would disagree with you. Besides Rogue One and the 1st season of Mando, the rest has been average to bad.

I don't think I've met anyone who enjoyed the last trilogy. The last two movies are horrible.

Rebels, CW7 , Bad Batch, Mando (all seasons but especially 1 and 2), Ahsoka and Andor are all excellent.

Boba Fett and Obiwan were ok. The highs were high but the lows were low. Solo kinda falls in there too.

The sequel trilogy is the blemish. I also maintain in 20 years you will have a generation of young adults who will defend it vigorously as “Thier Star Wars” in the same why Millennials defend the prequels today.

I try to take entertainment for what it is. An escape for 2 hours. So I don’t mind the latest movies. I won’t watch them as often. But I can appreciate them when I needed something new to watch.

My issue with the new director is she is a documentary film maker. That doesn’t excite a Billion dollar audience.

I though Ashoka was pretty good. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot.

I loved the last trilogy actually. I thought it was superb.

No one has ever been able to give me a good reason why they hate it, except for what they did with Luke, and that I agree with.

None of the new characters were likable. Nobody appealed to me enough to care. Adam Driver is a very good actor, but he was miscast in this. Maybe it's not his fault. The writing was terrible, especially in the final two movies.

The Force Awakens was good, not great, but the last two are horrible. Will never watch those two again. Finn and the female pilot
he befriended was so dumb. She was a waste of time. Princess Leia space flight was so comical. I remember half the theater laughing at that scene. This is just a few things that make these movies bad.
