I'm actually coming around to these underdog guys playing football at a lower level earning their way up the ladder through the portal. I could never fault a guy for bettering his situation.

Agreed. Plus there are literal physical advantages. Usually more developed into their “grown man,” bodies. Usually not all the the time.

Heck I know I grew a lot during my mid twenties strength wise. Started powerlifting when I was 20.
