Maybe his wife put him in a bad mood the day I tried to say hi to him at a Tennessee/Memphis game at the Liberty Bowl Stadium. Wouldn't even acknowledge I was standing there talking to him.

That's just sad or pathetic... or sad and pathetic. I hope that he's not destitute and is just simply uncluttering.

Surprised to read someone's response describing him as rude. Last year he came in the restaurant I manage and he was wearing Vols gear so an employee struck up a conversation with him. He was extremely nice and even went back to his car and brought in a picture of himself from back in the day. Signed it for the employee and made his day.

What have you got against him? We have you saying a negative comment and all the other people who have met him say he has been gracious and friendly. I guess he just had a bad day. Maybe you should remember the last time you had a bad day and were rude to someone you should not have been. Good grief.

He was my all-time favorite as a kid. Then I saw him at the O/W game after his 1st year in the NFL. I took my UT team picture (that I got at fan day prior to the game) over to him and asked him to sign it. He was completely rude and told be not to bother him. The much nicer older gentleman with him told him to sign it, and he jerked it out of my hand, scribbled his name on it, the poked a hole in it w/ my pen. TIFWIW.
