As member of Patriots' all-time team.

My dad says he was one bad Vol and most other accounts agree. Love it.

I have an autographed game worn Morgan Jersey framed on my wall.

Awesome to hear.

mine's not quite as good but I have a UT mini-helmet signed by him. Found it when a store was closing and it was $20

In my top 3 all time favorite Vols - maybe #1. I watched him play every game as a Vol and played against him (in basketball intramurals - ha!). Outstanding combination of speed, instinct, intelligence and fundamentals. And the best blocking TB/WR we've ever had (and probably that New England ever had).

He's rarely mentioned in a vol all-time great survey around here, which just befuddles me.

Never a Pats fan, but always liked watching Morgan play. That was long before I was a Vol fan. He was electric.

I try to advertise him and Roland James when the opportunity exists. Then I usually get laughed it. But I will not relent.

I only remember him well as a pro, but he was a badass on some sorry teams. I loved him because my Dad always wanted to watch him.

Stanley was a great one. Very special. #21 in your program. His name reminds of great ones like Haskell Stanback, Condredge Holloway, Roland James and Larry Seivers.

I work with his cousin Kevin Morgan here in Greenville. Stanley lives in Memphis and yes he looks like he could still play.Kevin played at Furman and helped them win their first championchip in 1980.

He did have a shot at a Super Bowl though. Unfortunately it was against a team of destiny. I dont recall his days at UT as I didnt follow them in the 80's. I started around the Heath Schuler era.

Team of destiny? That was just a damn good football team.

They also beat the Raiders the year Oakland went 13-1.

I remember watching Stanley Morgan as a kid, he was my favorite Vol. He was more of a running back / return man for the Vols, but made a great career as a WR in the NFL. I was a Pats fan back in the day, just because of Stanley Morgan

I was never a Pat fan, but I remember when I was little my dad turning on a game against Oakland just to see Stanley play.
It was the night Darryl Stingley got paralyzed.
Still one of the saddest things I've ever seen on a football field.

Didn't James have a good career at New England as well?

Grew up in MM with my Dad taking me to the games as a youngster. I remember Morgan could fly.
