Stand up...sit down...the debate continues (merged)

Y10 Row 10 seat 9 who had the audacity to stand and cheer for the Vols while I was trying to enjoy the game.

I mean, who does this guy thinks he is? Does he not understand how much money I have given to this University. I deserve to watch this game without being disturbed by some moron constantly yelling and screaming everytime we get the ball.

I got so frickin tired of hearing:

"Lets Go Defense" , "Lets Go Vols" and "Oooooooooohhhhh"

from this dude.

I finally told him to tone it down and he did. You just got to let these young ones know the limitations.

I just hope he doesnt pull that crap next week, or I'll punt his ass through the goal posts.

People like you are the reason i stay at home and watch the game on my 56in. LCD Samsung HDTV.It's called a Football game.Standing and cheering are required.I sat on that side of the field during the 89 Auburn & Tennesee game and blew my airhorn the whole game and pissed everyone off. That side of the field is the lazy and i want to sit still side. Why go to the game if you are not standing and cheering.

Even when I watch the game on TV I am usually standing, typically pacing around or jumping up and down.

Dude you deserve to be punted through the goal posts.....your the type of people that dont deserve to go to a game, i dont care how much money you spend, Tennessee doesnt want you there if your a douche

What a dumb ssa!! :mf_surrender:

Luckily for me, I am at the end of the row in X3 and I don't have to hear these kinds of comments from people behind me. That is the one thing that irks me to no end - Lazy, unenergized fans at Neyland. I am sick of it. When people don't cheer in my section, I yell at them and that usually wakes them up. Typically, after the verbal bashing for being quiet, they get involved in the game again.

Really? X3? Because I was threatened and attacked by a guy behind me Saturday in X3 for standing up and yelling on defense. I've already told the story in another thread, but to summarize, couple stood up for the entire halftime show, yet guy threatened me twice, then actually tried to throw me down for standing during football. That entire side of the stadium is pathetic.

Two guys near me at the Oregon game almost came to blows for one standing up during the game.

I don't like standing, but I don't get upset if people do. And I'll stand if somebody is in my way.

Out fans fight w each other more than w opposing fans.

My girlfriend was sitting behind me, and she says she was pulling on my shirt to hold me back because I was getting in his face while he was getting in mine... Mind you this is going on while the rest of the stadium was going crazy because of the TD.

Ain't that somethin... 100,000 others are celebrating, and this fool thought the best use of his time would be to get in my face because I bumped into him and was cheering.

To the guy who asked if I was a little guy, no. I'm 31, 6'1" 215, and this guy was in his 50's probably around 5'8" 160... Not to mention the tremendous leverage I would have over him being a row above.... But all that doesn't matter, because I'm not one to get into fights, especially over football.

The whole incident really ticked me off, because here I am arguing with a FELLOW FAN while my team just scored a big TD. :bad:

Someone needs to print up BIG ORANGE shirts with the words "STAND UP" on the back of them... Maybe the Official UT "All Your Might" shirts should have it stamped on the back?

If someone ever asks me to sit down and be quiet at a game I just make sure I stay standing and yell louder. No reason to argue about it...just ignore them and try my best to support my team and hopefully make the person more mad.

Lots of folks around me brought their little kids and that's all they dealt with... the kids'!! I kept trying to get everyone up & yelling, a few finally did but only behind us.. this one row of folks brought a baby about 6 months old, all they did was play with him and hardly paid attention to the game, what a waste of money.. sorry my opinion..

GO VOLS..
GO BIG ORANGE ..

This was exactly my philosophy until the guy actually tried to throw me down. It's pretty much impossible to ignore someone trying to attack you.

Heres the deal, the only way to get these people from the stands is at this point murder. Although typically I don't advocate murder, this is serious.
