Staff got out-coached and players played uninspired and sloppy

Serious question . Have you complained about those things in every post you have made today ? Do you think we did not believe your opinion the first 3 times ?

And yes I'll need to use the " view post " option to see the reply . I already know the answer .

It's not that I have a problem with you having your opinion . It's the compulsive desire to state it . Re-state it . then say the same 3 more times .

Also it literally is impossible for you to know my expectations .

Why the hostility? All I did was clarify why myself and others are critical of a victory. I don't know what you're implying by the "view post option" comment, but I will say that I feel no compulsion, I'm simply talking Vol football and talking about in a realistic and objective way.

I'm sorry that bothers you.

No hostility at all jblank , I assure you . Just my realistic and objective thoughts . Have a nice night .

Missouri said their scout team could beat the Vol's, but many fans think it would be a rout by the...

OK...I'm not a stats guy...I just see what I see on the field. But from the look of it, they are pretty equal except for the rushing TDs. And Worley...bless his heart...only had the fortune of playing the meat of the SEC schedule and never had a chance to play the weak back end. Dude was a warrior and I really didn't like the rap he got, but he was a much better throwing QB than Dobbs, especially given the context of opponents.

I like Dobbs...I want him to be successful, but he isn't a good QB in my humble opinion, and it hamstrings the play calling cause the coaches probably know the deal as well. He may be the best option at this point....but in all honesty, Dormady hasn't been given the opportunity to prove otherwise. And, no...playing with the 3rd string isn't the same opportunity and you know it.

What's sad is you don't know how ridiculous you sound. Any knowledgeable football analyst knows Josh is a great QB. We would not even be 6-4 now nor went to and won a bowl game last year, without him. Dobbs is much much better than you say. Maybe you just don't understand what all he is doing on the field. The guy has threw for 300 and run for 100 in two games. He hasn't started a full season yet.

CBJ does not run the score up for the fans to love him, North Texas HC is a really good friend of his, he kept the score low on purpose, but I will point out the Dobbs (sore foot) was not passing the ball very well, drop passes and the grass on the field had something to do with it. I don't thin the team was fired up for this team. I would worn them that taking the foot off the pedal can be habitual. I hope they are inspired for the next 3 games.

Go Vols!

If you're taking away anything from this game (good or bad) you need to have your head examined.

If you're in panic mode because of this game then you do not understand football and the idea of managing players with injuries. We have been in every single game this year. We could have won them all. Seriously ridiculous all the *****ing today.

My guess would be it has something to do with blocking posters. I wouldn't worry. Wear it as a badge. It may have been the multiple-syllable words. People who are not interested in differing opinions may find such concepts arduous.

Okey dokey, seemed quite hostile to me, but we'll just move on from this, I suppose.

Look who is back. Still waiting for you to prove me wrong where I said we are now bowl eligible in back to back seasons for the first time in years, without having to worry about winning out to get there....

Was our goal this week to beat the spread or get healthy and let the backups get some experience?

I will admit Team Captains need to do a better job of getting the players motivated. Maybe full pads next Monday instead of just shoulder pads to send a message!

I think this field works to our disadvantage because it negates our speed. I hope it gets much better for Vandy game with the extra week.

I guess we will find out if my theory is correct against Mizzou. If our score is comparable to MissSt vs Mizzou (31-13) then maybe so.

It's not about complaining BECAUSE we won, it's criticizing aspects of the team and staff that are leading to us relying on fluke fumbles to win and only scoring 24 points on one of the worst teams in the FBS. Those things should be concerning when we face two of the more stout defenses in the SEC, the final two weeks. Nobody wants us to lose, but I think we expect more out of the team and staff than some of you do.

Well said dude! Some people just don't get it! They need to go watch some other sport where you celebrate just participating! Oh wait there's not one! If anybody is satisfied with today's performance that pretty much tells you all you need to know about em.I don't think .500 teams should be rewarded with a bowl IMO.Teams should have a winning record to go to a bowl.

It was vanilla O, we didn't open the offense up really. We ran the ball. They ran the ball. The game finished quickly. We played with zero ugency and still won a shut out 24-0. As long as we come out ready to play against Missouri and win this game means little except we won and we are bowl eligable. It was the quickest but slowest game I've ever seen at Neyland.

I think many of us fans (myself incl) might be too quick to freak out ab this game. There's a lot to not be satisfied with, but today was a prime example in showing that even the top teams will occasionally struggle against a lesser opponent. And last week's close win over USCe and NT today are slightly concerning, but maybe we are being overly critical of this team. Despite the early season woes, they're winning games now, so they're doing something right. Hopefully, this makes the team realize they might not playing good enough to win out and will work that much harder.

I will say as a previous student, this is a tough time in the semester that definitely affects these 18-22 yo. Balancing being a football player at a major cfb program plus a college workload has got to be tough. I can't comment on being a cfb player in the SEC, but I would say it's as tough as working 55-60 hours a week while being a ft student...by November, it all takes a toll on you.

Some of you guys are psycho. It's very easy to figure out what happened today. Tennessee was overconfident after winning 3 of their last 4 games against sec opponents and came out flat against a bad team. It has happened many times before and will happen again. Tennessee played like crap and still shut a team out, I call that progress.
