I mean just pay some local high school coaches to come over a few days a week to get us thru one more season. It practically is the newest norm of go cheap for coaches.

Glen Elarbee from UCF would be a great addition to the staff as OL coach. But the problem is, as has been discussed, why is a coach going to leave a comfortable situation when there’s at least a decent chance that he’s going to be looking for a job after next season?

Pruitt made his bed. He wanted to run off good teachers to get recruiters. He had to fire one 4 games in and now we have recruiting violations.

Seems like in making his bed, he **** the bed.
I don’t see how signing more multi year contracts is the answer.

Anyone have recommendations for new positions with CJP as the head coach? I think Sale and Lupoi would be homeruns.

Thompson and Lupoi would be great to add to this coaching staff. Need a new QB coach. Why is Wenkie still on this coaching staff?

Sure there are diamond in the rough type coaches that would be glad to come here. Unfortunately they would have to coach a lot of diamond in the rough type players.

You can count the 5 star players we have on three fingers. That’s right we have signed three 5 stars (2017-2020). That is at the root of the problem. We don’t get the 5 stars and don’t even get the pick of the liter 4 stars.

Can’t solve the problem with another change in coaching staffs. We have to allow someone 4-6 years to solve the recruiting problem. Every time we change head coaches, we start back at year 1, leaving us 4-6 years away from getting where we need to be in recruiting.

I am one that will support this staff or a new staff if we start all over. The difference between myself and most is realizing we are at year 1 again in a 4-6 year process if we do change. There is no one that can come in here and have us competing at an Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St, A&M, ND, FL level in less than 5 years unless Peyton Manning is on the staff.

A couple of things. If Pruitt is allowed to hire any replacements, then he is here for next year for sure. I think he is here next year, but no news coming out on replacements for OL, DL, S&C is also giving me a little pause.

The other piece, if Pruitt and Fulmer can hire quality coaches and Pruitt can take a step back, that will save him. It is what save Coach O. Also Saban when he brought in Kiffin and beyond was to let them open up the offense. Fulmer with the Chief and Cut was a great coach. Lose Cut and the offense faltered.

Anyway, these hires if Pruitt is allowed to hire are his most important for his career if he wants to be a head coach going forward.

Well there has already been articles about new QB and Oline coach. I’m pretty positive Pruitt will be here next year. Freeze would be amazing, but don’t think it’s happening.

How many 5* guys does Kentucky have? Arkansas? Auburn? Our recruiting puts us nationwide at about 10-15. We don't play at 10-15. We don't end the yr ranked that high. Based upon talent we're underachieving. We need a coach that'll over achieve our talent level and then we can talk about grabbing some 5* guys. Right now Dabo is what's changed of late as to recruiting and if you're a 5* guy, why wouldn't you choose to go play for Dabo? I'm quite satisfied with the talent we've gotten to campus. I don't think the coaching is up to snuff, mainly on the O-line and QB

It's how Malzahn got his start. If you wanted Mitch Mustain to sign with you out of high school it meant bringing Malzahn onto your college staff. Young Mustain signed with Arkansas and high school coach Malzahn moved right on up to Fayetteville with him. The rest is history.
