Stadium Renovation Review

Whoever was in charge of designing the last stadium renovation should never be permitted to lay a finger on Neyland again. The new Jumbotron is way to small. I sat on the river side for the first time expecting to watch the new TV and it’s not big enough. They took out thousands of seats to make a little screen and a stupid deck that no one will use. Terrible…they should’ve made it like the other side.

Fun fact. The screens are the same size on both sides.

With that said, I’m not sure why one side is covered and the other isn’t. I’m pretty sure they didn’t put anything above the stadium on the north side so “the hill” was still visible.

The only part I'm not a fan of are the fancy padded seats that are empty most games. I know the "why", but I'm not going to like it.

Hmm, i seems to remember enjoying games for decades without ever having a damn big screen TV inside the stadium. If looking at a screen is that important to you, consider staying home and watching It on TV

But those fancy padded seats are often empty during the game because they are back in the bar area socializing.

My biggest complaint is it was nearly impossible to find a beer against Florida. Everywhere was selling out and the lines were outrageous, just to get close and be told everything was sold out.

Otherwise, I think the renovations look great.

We sit on the visitors side not far from students and noticed lots of unsold beer as we exited the game. Only advice can offer is get there early and stock up then.

The screen is awful. Would you buy an 85 in tv so you can see a 48 in picture? Yeah, no. On the right side all you saw was the same stats for the same player. Never changed. On the left it was down, yardage, and field position. The same info that was on the ticker 20 ft below it. Redundant. If you have a big screen, show the game.
