Hope our were paying attention - FSU is much better than Virginia but Virginia outplayed them last night…we need to come out strong.
It can’t be overstated that we were more worried about Georgia 2 weeks ago while Mississippi State has been able to focus on TN since week 2.

A good game plan can make a huge difference.

Agree. The SEC is brutal but kids are kids. I recall some of the players saying they thought the game was over @ the half in 2023 @ Bama.

We were up two scores and then got destroyed in the 2nd half.

Modern players these days wear very little padding. Other than shoulder pads and helmet. Most don't wear hip, knee or thigh pad or waist belt because it slows them down.
That's true they look like shorts, it's been awhile ago but I remember one game on the road I forgot my butt pad and the officials said I couldn't be on the field til I found one..needless to say coach found one🤣🤣

Yeah, this game scares me a bit. Can we/should we win...definitely, but this game getting alot of play on upset alerts. To me, comes down to one thing...Nico and Milton struggled w/ away crowds. If JA can manage things as we think he can, and we jump on them like LSU w/ Hooker a couple years ago, we'll send cowbells home to pasture...(which is an entirely other topic I can't believe is tolerated this day and age). It's not "crying" but we got roasted b/c Bama "thought" our noise was piped in, which was debunked... it's just stupid

Yea, given where he came from I don’t see Joey being phased by the crowd - he’s been down this road plenty of times

Looks like Squirrel went down.

Lord knows he has enough experience falling down.

I kid, I kid. Squirrel seemed to be a decent enough kid when he was here, just had some balance issues. I wish him well.

I don’t recall another stadium without some type of barrier separating fans from the field. The stundents stampeded from the hill onto the field w/in seconds of the final incomplete pass.

They used to have a hedge and fence at the bottom of the hill, until they upset FSU about 20 years ago and all the fans got piled up and trampled at the bottom before the fence got knocked down. There were multiple injuries and broken legs that night and that was the end of the hedge and fence.

But having no impediment last night still resulted in multiple injuries and broken legs.

To be fair, the Virginia stadium officials are not prepared for crowds over 40-50.
The AD and local authorities have a plan for every big game.

Miss state had way more police presence for TN game. They were all lining around Lower level when TN had ball Late in regulation.
