I'll bet after the presser, Steve Spurrier went in the back room and slammed that visor on the floor, then stomped on the visor then set it on fire!!!

Ha ha ha! Don't you love it!!!

Spurrier will be missed one day. The game needs personalities. Grating, snarky, funny, etc. Too much real talk is filtered out by coach speak. He is a character, love him or hate him.

I like Spurrior. Especially now because in his heart of hearts he understands that Butch and Tennessee own him.

Steve seriously would have wanted to come to UT when Phil left. He grew up a serious UT fan and went to many games with his family. He is well versed in UT history. He chose UF to be a passing QB at a time when UT ran the ball. His personality and success has rubbed Vols the wrong way for three decades, but there us no denying he is one of the all time coaching greats.

There is no doubt he is a hall of fame coach. As much as I dislike the man I will give the devil his due. He's earned the success he has achieved.

With that said, his wit has always been pointed at the Vols more than any other team. As resident of his home town, seeing him this distraught over a loss to UT gives me a special feeling of satisfaction.

Anyone who says he is not a coaching great is delusional. But it's awfully fitting that Tennessee is the team that made him look like he is done. He has had a lot of laughs at our expense. Tonight we took our pound of flesh.

Stands up, says "y'all saw it". Left the room without answering a single Q.

I wonder how many people on here know that he was a quarterback at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tenn. And he was very good. That's why he likes to take digs at the Vols. But you know what they say about payback dontcha Ole Ball Coach?:dance2:

in Spurrier's defense the game went into OT and he gets the shakes if he goes over 4 hours without a drink

This is just too sweet, he has had it coming for years!!!! Bye, bye Ole Ball Coach don't let that door hit you in the A$$!!!! :dance2::thumbsup:

Many say he is one coach they love to hate and would miss him if he retired. Don't worry about CSS he is still enjoying all those Florida victory's.

Agreed, I can't help but like him but hate losing to him. He is a great offensive minded coach and is very good at getting into other team's heads. He will be missed.

There was a moment there that I was starting to feel bad for him then I remembered the Citrus joke and I got over it.
