Spurrier gonna Spurrier

I know the vast majority here hate his guts, but he’s a national treasure in the eyes of Florida fans, and many college football fans.

He seems to be having a blast with this Orlando AAF job. He’s having a hard time getting around between the bad back and bad knee, but he’s having fun and still coaching up some pretty damn good football.

Agree completely once he left Florida I love the guy.

He was more fun to hate than old yeller teeth or Muschamp or Mullen. I enjoyed hating on him more than Saban...at least you knew Spurrier was trying to have a little fun...though Fulmer didn't think so.

Hated him in his heyday at Florida, but still hate to see him shuffling around, like I stated in the RF. Kinda sad for me.

The video looks like more of a compliment than "shade" as SDS says?

I actually think he was trying to compliment the Birmingham locals as well, though maybe a little more inartfully than he normally is.

The irony is that he is spending the twilight of his career at the winter home of the Tennessee Vols, Orlando Florida....

The Orlando AAF team plays at Spectrum Stadium...I guess you can't spell Spectrum without the UT...
Couldn't resist, eh? Just kidding. Wish I had thought of it.

Other than against UF, Fulmer was 35-2 against the rest of the SEC at this point in his career. Oh, those were the days. Should have beaten LSU in the SECCG and then played Miami in the Rose Bowl for the Natty. What could have been.

Spurrier is coaching Orlando in the AAFL and just won to go 2-0....post game presser when asked about the atmosphere he said " yeah, just as loud as ole Rocky top in here today"
Probably still pissed Butch Jones beat him.

Had a brief conversation with him once at the Heisman dinner. At the end, gave him a go big orange and he walked away and went nah and was pretty disgusted. He still doesn’t like us much. Lol
