in a conversation with Jeremy Foley after the Gators won the NC in football and basketball, he referred to the buckeyes as "runner up U".

i think it kind of goes w/out saying, at least to me anyway, when a college crowd boos, it's booing the coaches. they're the only constant year in and year out. i dont think, at least i hope, no one is actually booing the players.

i'm not partial to booing, unless it's at the opposing team, and even then it's usually just directed at the coach, logo or team colors the team represents, never at the player.

so in that regard, i would agree with him.

lamecock fans were booing so loudly in 04 (while a win was still possible) that you could hear it on the TV. so they have a history.

booing your team at a home game is just flat stupid. might make a bad impression on recruits and accomplishes nothing.

If directing attention was the goal, they did it well

when i was at the rose bowl last week, UCLA fans were booing the team loudly for most of the game. Then they won and their fans preceded to harrass every Cal fan in attendence. Classy.

I wasn't there so this opinion is based upon nothing, but I think the UCLA fans were very classy following their amazing victory over Cal. I mean, it was amazing. Their sorry squad lost to Notre Dame Parochial and they found a way to beat Cal, who can blame them for the about face - Cal was the number 2 team in the nation at one point.

He said that Vandy is 3-3. And that if they played OSU's schedule, they would be undefeated and #1 also.
