i'd be pretty pissed at JG barking orders at me. i get trying to be a leader, but it doesn't work when you haven't proven yourself

Pretty much no one has “proven” themself on the team. Glad to see someone step up and be a leader

Gotta love the straight talk from Coach Pruitt.

Are they trying to run of thaxton and allen?

Idk about Thaxton, but I highly doubt they’re trying to run off Allen. They recruited him. I think more likely with him they know they’re gonna need him to contribute this year and they’re really pushing him to get there.

Smart by Pruitt to have Kamara at recruiting day to say "this coach ain't anything like Butch"

The players that get the hardest coaching are typically the ones the coaches see the most potential in. It’s when the coaches stop riding them hard that they should be worried.

I've seen this meme many times and I just realized I was at that game in Jacksonville...ha. I am pretty sure it was 2010 season on MNF (Titans won 30-3).

Anyway, these updates are great!

SO far posters have refrained from using 2 words in the observations on practice...

Nasty & Beast... Who will break the ice?

We now have a football coach:

Pruitt says they believe in the philosophy of playing the "next best football player" and not just the backup at a position.

Lots of things he does differently but butch did say the same thing. Of course butch didn't follow through with it. Hopefully Pruitt does.

Loved what Pruitt said about bringing as many VFLs back as he can. He seems to get the tradition that we all love about TENNESSEE!!!!!

Lots of things he does differently but butch did say the same thing.

Sounds to me like he doesn't know the names of offensive players

He was asked about players switching positions from last year and said he didn't know what position they played last year. Really? This staff hasn't gone over last year's tape to see who's who? That's pretty ****in stupid if true.

Normally I would agree but, everything about the O,D, and STs are different. Pruitt is looking at speed, size body type and strength for each position. He is then putting them on the field in that position. He is banking on his ability to coach up players mentally to use the physical gifts they already have for the position. Byrd is perfect example, he would be a great wide receiver especially in this offense, but they think he'll be an even better corner/safety. This one is easy, Pruitt is doing it his way, it looks nothing like CBJ's way, it WILL be better. TOO EASY!

So, Jeremy Pruitt, arguably the very best DC in the country the last several years, with 5 championship rings, who’s coached under both Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban, the best head coach in college football history....and who clearly isn’t willing to give up ANY information to the media at this point, and I’d argue rightfully so.....gives this quote and you take it at face value and and say he’s pretty f-ing stupid? Lol.

It’s clear you’re not a Pruitt fan at the moment, either because you’re a Jones lackey or because Pruitt has deep Alabama ties, not sure which. But come on dude....you’re trying way too hard to hate the guy. Way. Too. Hard.

No, they did watch tape but still couldn’t tell what positions they were playing.
