I agree in that if you are accused you are innocent until proven guilty but how is Schiano guilty then? He has never been convicted and the witness who supposedlytold McQuery has recanted. Don't get me wrong I am anti Schiano for many reasons but if UT fans are going to prosecute an accused man how can you support a man who allowed an accused rapists on your team. One thing you can say about Butch, he dismissed players accused of similar acts and we applauded him. Just throwing this out there.

I agree, you have a good point. I guess my thought was I see the allegation against Schiano as significantly worse even if it's not 100% proven than playing a player who has been accused when it's like 80% (probably is 100% considering he later pleaded guilty, but I'll give Gundy the benefit of the doubt at the time). I know innocent before proven guilty, but I think you can use accusations to prevent you from hiring people (and Gundy should have used them to prevent himself from recruiting that player).

My take is probably orange glasses, to be honest, mixed with problems from things 100% proven that are bad about Schiano.

In any case, I hope Gundy has learned from that and doesn't pull that mess here. That should be one of the interview questions (obviously less confrontational than I make it sound, like "What is your stance on playing players that are accused of sexual abuse, etc.?").
