If this is true, I know that Brunetti isn't exactly who we all wanted and it may take him a while to change to the new offensive system, but this is still a great turnaround for what we have. It backs up CLK's plan to build a fence around the state, and i know our offense calls for a pro-style passer, but who wouldn't want the #1 dual-threat quarterback in the nation (according to rivals)? i know i would :good!:

who cares? thats a moot point now. we dont have him, so lets stop talking about him. a lot of good it wouldve done anyways, what with him blowing his knee now.

besides, Brunetti obviously was not CLKs first choice. i hate to say it, but it would seem that he is settling for someone thats not exactly who he wants, which is expected after a 5-7 campaign. not to say Brunetti is a bad choice. i think that he is very athletic but lets be realistic, he certianly wasnt high up on the list of QBs to go after. right now, hes one of the best shots we have to steal from another school...

his knee was blown early last season... he played with a torn acl.

This has all been very dissapointing. Brunetti is not what we need for this system.

I seriously hope all the people complaining about Brunetti didn't complain when Boyd was let go.

Besides, this whole thing could still be a bunch of BS.

I know Barry personally, he is a good kid. He would be a good addition to this team, but I don't think he fills the long term need at the position... He is a pass first qb who has 4.7 speed if he needs to use it. He also, just within this past year has developed as a passer significantly... He is a hard worker and may help, if for nothing else, bring in better skill players so we can use them for years to come as well. I think this addition would be beneficial, but not a long term solution although itd be nice if he proved me wrong

Hey any QB at this point is a plus. Depth is needed bad. Plus remember Kelley Washington was around the same height in high school and well he shot up to about 6'3". Its rare, but you never know.

Kelly was also 46yo when he got to UT :p (and he's still not 6'3")
