what is your favorite piece in your own collection? It can be UT related or not.

Mine is a piece of goal post from the '98 Florida game. I got it from the fire dept in Fort Sanders. I waited in line for 30-45 min.

A game jersey from the National Championship game.

I actually have two, but the second had the name and the bowl patch removed. I resored the name, but I'm still looking for another National Championship Fiesta Bowl patch. There's plenty of Fiesta Bowl patches out there, but I have yet to find another one from our game.

That is awesome!! who's jersey? what numbers?

9 and 34. The 34 is pristine. The 9 has the name back on it with the correct custom font, it still needs a patch on the front. Residue still on it from the original patch.

Sorry, neither are for sale. I have over 200 jerseys in my collection, UT and many others, and I've never sold any of them.

Autographed Peyton, Fulmer, John Ward photos.
Orange/white end zone turf.

Video tape of Al Wilson, and several others, going through their summer weight lifting session. Pretty amazing.

What do you do with all of them? Are they on coathangers in a closet? Are they up all over your walls?

Here's an interesting one: my roommate from Med School and I bought two pilsner glasses with a glass football in the stem at Stein Mart for 99 cents before the '98 season. They were only used during football games that year. After the Championship, we had them engraved with a Power T, "1998 National Champions," and our initials. We agreed that they should be retired and only reused when we win another Championship (SEC or National).

I also value my Fulmer/Martin signed football, personalized John Ward collection, including an original record from the POTS band (when I believe he was drum major?), and my personalized Eric Berry jersey.

I have a few in frames on my wall at home and in my office, ones that are really special to me, a signed UT softball jersey from the World Series, a home 1997 football jersey, Lady Vol basketball jersey from 04 signed, and a Kevin Burnett game worn Cowboys white jersey are all in frames, along with a couple of others. Jersey framing is more expensive than the actual jerseys.

The rest are in a couple of closets, worn from time to time.

I have many but my favorite is the News paper from 1939. The paper is the Sunday edition before the first game. Front page is the team picture and an inset picture at the bottom is a picture of Neyland and his coaching staff. The head line for the coaching article reads "The men who build the machine on the hill". The cool thing is as you all know this team was undefeated and unscored on during the regular season. There is also a breakdown of game by game of the 1938 season. The read is amazing with all the history and information in the whole paper. I have it framed to protect it from fading and tearing.

The frame will only do so much to truly protect it my man. You need something more tech advanced for that thing. Something air-tight. Vac-sealed type isht. That is the best thing I've read about yet. Geez.

A football signed by Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Herb Adderley, Ray Nitschke, Willie Wood, and Jim Taylor
Whenever Favre officially retires, he'll also be on there.
