I know it hasn't been announced because it's not legal yet, but is that everyone's assumption of what theyd like to add there?

My understanding was that if the Bristol proposal couldn’t pass, either by the state legislature or by the local.ballot initiative then a Knoxville group might make a proposal to the TN legislature. The EBCI spends a lot of money lobbying to make sure that legal casino gambling never takes place in TN, SC and Georgia. I just don’t see it happening. (Other than the boat from Myrtle Beach). I personally would love for Cherokee to not be the only game In town anymore. It’s inconvenient to get to and the hotels are outrageously priced if you aren’t getting comped.

I really don't think they win this time. The one in Bristol will pass on Tuesday imo.

I wonder why it's never happened in Alabama?

People in TN have been betting online for 15+ years lol. Bodog/Bovada and other sites have been around forever. Don't get why this is a big deal to anyone.

I thought the 407 property was now Native-owned?

I honestly don’t know. Like I said if they built 2-3 more in the area to give the two N.C. spots some competition I think it would be great.
Just looked it up. EBCI purchased it last year. They announced plans in September for entertainment complex. No casino now but doesn't sound like they excluded that idea forever.

I went with Draft Kings and it's been a disaster. First it wouldn't let me make a deposit then it did (I got an email saying the money had been deposited) but then there was no money in the account with which to bet. I was dying to put $100 on the Bengals catching 7 points against the Titans (the Bengals won it straight up). I'm going to tell them they owe me $200, my deposit and what would have been my winnings. Otherwise I'll sue their tail in General Sessions Court and by the time they're through, their attorney will cost them $5000 minimum.

Yeah, good luck with that. They can pay lawyers long after you are broke.

Sports betting has been happening for years in Tennessee. This just means that you can deduct your losses from you winnings and not have to pay income taxes on your net winnings, if you are lucky enough to have net winnings. Ig won't be long before we have the Cherokees floating gambling boats on the lakes. That would really cut into the number of going to North Carolina to gamble.

More Power to the Cherokees. Whatever they get, they got coming in Spades.

Lol, you should write a book about your foolproof system then.
I’m up about 40,000 all time.... I do have a system that works and certain sports I bet on that I know I can win if I have the time to dedicate to it...there is always a risk of losing though.

You must be a unicorn then.
That’s not true..... here is the difference.... I lost many on games I studied for one weekend.... I licked my wounds and made bets the following weekend..... my friend lost on the same game I did.... he turned around and tried winning it all back so he bet on games he didn’t plan for.... he ended up 6,000 plus in the hole. One trick I have learned you can play two to three pick parleys are the easiest ways to win big money..... you can pick one or two against the spread.... one sure fire winner such as the chiefs to win this past weekend.... you don’t win much by throwing the chiefs on there but you never have to pay the 10% if you bet straight up..... also avoid big name college games.... Vegas is really good at that.... bet on the games where not much money is wagered and you can roll.... Especially when they don’t take into account new stud players .... one year for 3 weeks in a row I gave up 7 points.... the team I bet on won by 30+ bc Vegas was still acting like that team was the same as the year before.

Technically they would not have to pay you if you win a large sum of money though... This is 100% legal now.

I just signed up for Fan Duel and put in two $5 bets. If I want the Vols to go for 2 in a strange situation, you'll know why. :) Also, if Liberty beats Virginia Tech., I will lose my freakin' mind!

I'll go to smaller bets after this week (I only put $50 in the account), but I'll probably go with five $1 bets on upsets (money line). That seems like the most fun when it's a small enough amount that I don't really care about the money.
