how do you people in knoxville live with this sports talk . i've been listening to them on itunes from nashville and all day it is UT bashing. UT will suck, UT stinks ect.... I know the tallent level is down and I don't want homer radio but those guys are ridiculous.

Most people in Knoxville who actually know what they are talking about when referring to UT football don't listen to these guys.

The Sport Animal is a left over from the Old Regime. They were warm and fuzzy with the Fulmer staff...CLK-n-staff can give a @$% about them and they don't like it. I've said it before it PAINS them to talk UT football, they do it because they HAVE too. Here is a test - someone call in and ask Jimmie about LSU football...notice the "pep in his voice" and he can reel off anything and everything about LSU.
The morning show is a complete disaster! They need to be thankful it is the only show on.
Try, Tony Basilio - great online, however the AM reception is shakey at best. He has a passion and excitment for UT football and not afraid to call them out if something sinks.

unless will west or josh ward are talking, i don't really listen. everyone else is pretty much clueless. just yesterday, during the morning show jeff and heather mentioned that quinton hancock had "only a few catches last year". i then said to my radio, "no, he had zero catches last year". about ten minutes later they finally corrected themselves. people on volnation are ten times more knowledgable about their sports than those guys.

You will have those who hope LK fails just because hes not Fulmer. And some of these people claim to be fans. The "I told you so" line comes to mind. ( As does 5150)

Glad i don't get that. I have to put up with the clowns in Nashville, they're bad enough.

lame and truly sad, no doubt. i live just outside listening range and used to look forward to being able to catch 99.1 occasionally but it really is bad, bad enough that i have ceased to make any effort.

i don't hate the afternoon guys on 104.5 but they the show does suck. What is this Why is it game they play everyday. STUPID. Than its Nick the Stick and Atlanta Braves. You ever seen that guy. He dresses like a freaking bumb. Biddle and Bill King rag Vols all day. They suck. Thom Abraham I think is the only decent show.

Tony Basilio is the man. I was so upset when they took him off the Fox Sports Radio affiliate about 5 years ago. He knows his stuff and has a great show

the problem with the sports animal, well one of the many problems, is that these guys have no passion. you don't hear any excitement when they talk football. you would never know that john played football at tennessee by listening to him talk. i think he'd rather talk baseball and broncos football all year long.

tony basilio's show has passionate fans. he has a such a passion for UT sports without being a homer. he tells it like he sees it but he's passionate about it. i haven't found a station in nashville, chattanooga or knoxville that's as good as his show.

I think Hyams is great. He seems to be pretty objective concerning LSU football and LSU sports in general. I think you are hearing things when you notice a certain "pep" in his voice.

there is not one sports talk show that is awesome IMO. They all have inflated egos. I go with who entertains me the most now. Coward is entertaining and Rome makes me laugh from time to time. I like the KNS show on 99.1 from time to time. But you can find fault in any show and host. The WORST show by far is the am show on 99.1. They could not have found a better collection of people that have no clue about what is going on. West needs to get the hell out of there before the stupid from the other three infects him.
