One heck of a conversation today..

Roger called in and asked Jeff about Xavier.

Good old Jeff. "They're a heck of a team. They'll be tough up there"

Just once, I want someone to say something like "Hey Jeff, Name one player on their team?"

Then Will West comes in and actually says something meaningful about Xavier.

Of the 3 times I've been listening in the last week, Roger has been on the shows all 3 times and asks each individual person the exact same question. "How do you think we'll fare against Xavier?"

Get a computer Roger! Google is your friend!

It's very obvious that Will West knows what he is talking about. I don't know if he host any shows but I would be all for him and some other new guy that knows his stuff and I guess you can keep Heather.

You know for all the old men callers that want to swoon over her.

Don't pick at Roger. I think he is... well, lets just say he may be "challenged". I can live with Roger calling more than I can Chris, though.

Just to illustrate the point you made (I think you made) yesterday about them being in the UTAD's teat, they had an exclusive interview w/Trooper today. Obviously, these guys don't want to step on any toes and are way too close to the program.

Biased analysis and rhetoric that borders on cheerleading...

The Sports Animal morning show is awful. The worst of the three is the girl Heather. She never once adds anything to the conversation and interrupts the people talking to add in her pointless insight, not that the other two guys arent as bad. I listen the Mike & Mike in the Mornings on 1180 because it'll put me in a bad mood hearing that terrible show.

Heather at least has an excuse (she's a young lady). No reason for Dearstone and Jeff to be on her level, though.

Biting your lip, obviously having people not liking your show except for people in Sneedville picking you up with Alum. Foil, all for one exclusive interview.

I'll take a show that tell it like it is over an "insider" show any day of the week.

After hearing Jeff this week without Mickey has showed me that Jeff knows absolutley nothing about sports.

Mickey doesn't know much but he knows more than Jeff.

Still yet, Will West is the most likeable and sports intelligent on that show by far.

D, J, and Heather suck they are Homers. But as bad as they are Basillo is just as bad but anti-UT. Don't get me wrong; I am very down on the program and sometimes Basillio says what I want to hear. Just trying to be objective here, but what you hear on Basillio isn't that much better quality talk radio than SportsAnimal. The KNS guys suck. they sit and talk about John Adams the whole time, and are mostly Anti-UT. Very predictable. Same stuff every day. I think Jimmy H is the most level headed guy. Don't think he is too pro or anti UT. Which is good because they don't try to form your opinion for you. Also, he seems to really get good exposure to the program. The thing that makes that show suck is the callers. they are so bad.

Mickey is the worst personality ever. He thinks Candace Parker can play in the NBA. I think he tries to say things to get callers stirred up which is even worse. If you have to lie to get people to listen get another job.

Wow... you do realize that you've just admitted that Dearstone is actually carrying that show, right?

That says enough about it right there. If a man that thinks Candace Parker could beat an NBA player one-on-one is the lynchpin of your show, that is a telling statement.

I personally find the KNS show mildly entertaining when its Hooker, Adams, and Fred White. It offers nothing in terms of sports news, but the way Hooker and Adams fight like 2nd grade girls kinda amuses me.

Well, not surprising that you had some Fulmerite call in and say that the game has passed Stoops by because he is having trouble winning bowl games. Of course, our trio on the Animal joined right in and got a good chuckle. As we all know, losing BCS bowl games and winning conference titles is just the same as losing trumped up New Year's Day bowls/Peach bowls and not winning a conference title this decade.

Wow... Dearstone just said that Nebraska is getting a good coach in Pellini, but he needs to change his sideline attire and get rid of the chewing gum. :crazy:

I kid you not... and he was being dead serious.

Never knew how you dressed on the sideline or chewing gum was an indication of coaching ability. Guess that makes Belichick a moron.

i was listening to their NFL show they do on Sunday mornings while i was still laying around in bed. i was about half awake at the time so i missed the preface to the comment but at the end of a call, the caller flat out said to Wilkerson that Heather should be taken off the air.
