Dropping Jim Rome, and fill 12-3 slot with John Pennington and Josh Ward.

They are announcing it now. Suits me fine, Rome was a lot of fluff and ego.

Pennington saying they will be primarily doing national news and interviews, not only focusing on regional. Great idea, step outside of your area of expertise and read ESPN to us.

I'm sure national figures will be lining up to talk to a simpleton like Pennington. While they're at it, they might as well add Chuck Cavalaris. Then, they could accurately title the show "The Three Stooges."

These guys can't even break news stories right here in Knoxville without getting it right. Now they are going to spread themselves even thinner and jump into national/regional commentary?

Would love to hear Don from Sweetwater start calling in saying that we need to get off of Andy Reid and give him a break for winning the NFC East for upteen years.

I would rather listen to static or dead silence than him.

:good!:

Rome and Mickey both make me :puke5:

I look forward to the first time they get someone like Huggs or Rich Rod on the phone and one of those geriatric fools that call incessantly starts blathering idiotic questions. The tongue lashing Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber take will be epic.

I figured as much. He's not a hick.

I can listen to a hick as long as he is not a dic$ like Rome.

Callers on his show are worse than callers on local radio.

"Hi romey thanks for the vine" then they read a statement that they wrote to try and sound like him. If they sound like him they get a "rack'em" from him.

I'm surprised you like him.

Rome doesn't really take calls anymore. He simply talks about taking calls and reading people's emails and text messages.

What happens when they get a hockey question? :eek:hmy:
The same thing that will happen with every other question. Pennington will try to be funny and make an inane pop culture reference, then Ward will say something 100% inaccurate.

Obviously the show wasn't pulling the ratings to justify running it. Not sure if that speaks more to this area or the host.

Let's see. Rome has the most successful syndicated sports show in America. I believe that answers the question.
